Tom will guide you through your fitness journey every step of the way. His approach is built around tailoring a programme and relationship works for you, it really is a lifestyle change and Tom will support you as your life literally changes for the better, working around whatever schedule or needs you have to ensure you can remain consistent. I trained with Tom for 14 months, starting as a complete beginner. I am now someone who trains regularly and remains fit all year round, the most valuable thing I have gained from Tom is his years of experience that taught me everything I need to know to remain fit, healthy and happy for the rest of my life. After a number of injuries I decided to look for a PT, straight away Tom put me at ease. Talking about my injury it was clear he was knowledgable about how to plan sessions to protect these injuries and build up the muscles around it. It’s not just a set programme for every client as all our needs are different and Tom recognises that. Now been going twice a week for 18 months would’ve been longer had covid not struck but the sessions have great structure and the improvements in my body and fitness have been great. Tom is a fantastic personal trainer and I love the results! (physically and mentally).

Have been with Tom for 2 months now and I can see significant improvements both in my form in working out and shape. He explains things so well that’s it’s easy to remember and as a result I can push myself further knowing that I’m doing it right. I been training with Tom now since October and I'm hard work to train. . I'm very self critical but Toms been amazing I don't write reviews but he deserves one. He's inspiring fun great with banter but most of all he genuinely cares a rare quality in trainers. Tonight we tested pbs and I maxed 2 of mine nearly gave up but he inspired me and didn't let me give up . He takes the abuse gives it back but most of all I progressed tonight over 10kg on 2 lifts that's just insane. He did not let me give up. He's that confident in his work he does something no other trainers do gives a free session to show you how he trains only pts that confident in their ability will ever do that. More...

Due to an shoulder injury, I have been away from CrossFit for more than 1.5 years. After only 2 months with Tom my shoulder strength and mobility has improved significantly. Also within the short window we have been able to improve on my conditioning. Tom is really good at Tailoring his programming for exactly what the individual client needs. Very happy with Tom’s PT sessions. I have done 3 months with him and these are the feedback I would give that explain why his styles fit me.

1. Always focus on what we want to achieve. I’m running a lot and contacted Tom to help me to improve my running. He designed the sessions according to my needs, work on my stability and muscle strengths that helps me to run better. He always check in to see how am I performing in my running.

2. Tom emphasise on how I “feel”. He is like working on a crystal ball, knowing which exercise will fire up which muscles, and indeed I will have the next few days to recover my muscle group. That’s very important as there is no mirror-watching during training and we need to learn what’s the purpose of each sets of repetition and if we are working on the right muscles group combination.

3. Tom does a good balance of science/theory vs practice. Good understanding on the rationale of each movement, aerobic vs anaerobic is crucial to make the best out of the session, and me being healthcare background, I appreciate his knowledge and sport science which gives me the confidence of what I’m doing.

All in all, I am very happy the way we move forward, and hope I have more time in future to double up my training time with Tom.

Working with Pinnacle Tranning after my shoulder sugary to get back to my sport was really easy going . He looked in to my sport and made a program that would benefit me around that. I liked the fact he teaches you the science to why he is making you do what your doing to have a full understanding which I thought was grate. I was after a Strength & Conditioning coach and not a PT, Tom has not failed to deliver on this key point. I particularly welcomed the "run before you can walk" approach, more specifically muscle activation and building up strength before throwing you in to 10 reps of dead lift, 10 reps of lunges etc.

Tom strikes the right balance between the carrot and the stick, he is also professional and has a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend Tom.

After the birth of my children, Tom not only gave me body confidence, but taught me the correct principles and how to build strength in a healthy way. I came to Tom to help me tone up after I saw one of my customers slim down to nearly half her body size in a space of only a few months. She didn’t look gaunt & I didn’t see any loose skin as that can happen if you lose weight too quickly but she looked very well, radiant & healthy. She continued to lose weight & tone up very nicely as time went on so I asked her to refer me to her personal trainer Tom.
I have not been to any personal trainers before so cannot say how Tom differs but because he is so good with me I will not look elsewhere.
Tom explains in detail all questions I ask him, concentrates on the areas I want toning up whilst making sure he doesn’t neglect the rest of my body, really pushes me to do the very best I can, he is extremely professional, polite & passionate about his job, I cannot fault anything & I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to lose weight & tone up.
His prices are very reasonable too.
Tom trains in a way that is not boring or repetitive, he does it in a fun way & that’s one of the reasons why I always look forward to my training day.

I've been training with Tom for about a year - he's been brilliant. I had a severe back injury many years ago which had affected my posture and mobility - I had assumed it would not ever improve.

After working with Pinnacle, I have much less pain than before and am much better able to enjoy sports again.

Tom doesn't just point you at an exercise and make you do it like some trainers might; he always makes sure to explain why it's important, what impact it will have, and how it fits in to the overall plan for each individual. This attention to detail and the care taken with each customer is very much appreciated!

I was feeling unfit as I had not done regular exercise in a while. Tom assessed my fitness level. He guided me through the exercises and gave me a plan I could follow at home. I’d attempted to follow a personal training programme twice before starting with Tom and both times it had petered out after a few months. Tom is the first person that has somehow motivated me to continue with a programme for well over a year now. It’s hard to say exactly why this is but a friendly, flexible approach combined with enjoyable and varied sessions certainly helps (as does the occasional and entirely unexpected motivational gift!). Tom is personable and down to earth and tailors to the sessions to suit each client wherever possible whether that be through exercises, location or music. Both myself and my partner have been working with Pinnacle Training for 3 months so far. Both of us are ~50 years old and my parter lost his confidence (and fitness) following a life changing accident. Tom and the team have transformed our lives and given my partner back his confidence around fitness. Our body shapes have changed and we have both lost weight. We steered away from the aggressive, shouty and pushy personal trainers as it would not have helped either of us to achieve our goals. Just had my first meeting with Tom and I have to say it was an eye opener. I used personal trainers before when I have joined new gyms in the past, but I learned more in one introduction session with Tom than I did with previous trainers.

Tom has a great philosophy with his coaching and that is training to be his clients to feeling healthy and feeling good over focusing on the aesthetics.

I you want a coach whose aim is to give his clients the information and confidence to reach the goals and go on to live healthier and have more confidence in their own abilities, then Tom is the coach for you.
