Ive been training with Richard for the past couple of months and I can honestly say if it weren't for him I wouldn't have gone to the gym. We have been training with Richard for over a year now and we are completely committed to our 2-to-1 weekly session. Before we started we wanted to improve our fitness level and it's incredible how much more confident and in a better shape we both are now compared to a year ago. We usually alternate a boxing-fitness session and a bootcamp/bodyweight session, which for us works really well. Every exercise is designed to be functional and efficient and he varies the sessions periodically so that you don't get bored and your body is challenged in different ways. Richard is a very experienced PT that pushes you without putting you off, every time finding the fine balance and always encouraging you to do a bit more without making you feel bad if you've just had a bad day. He's very accommodating in terms of things that you like doing but he's very clear about making sure that the sessions are varied and well balanced. We completely trust him to plan our sessions and to increase the difficulty based on his professional knowledge and experience. Richard is always wiling to listen and he is a very supportive and personable guy, the sessions are always fun and very pleasant - we always leave in a better mood than when we arrive! The results are obvious - I do other activities and I have improved in those in terms of resistance and strength, but most of all, Richard helped me to improve my confidence in trying new things and activities. He never shouts and he's never critical, always constructive in his feedback. He's also very patient and professional (when we have the occasional rant about work!) and flexible. He's genuinely a nice guy. If you want a serious, experience, challenging but supportive, reliable, accommodating, nonsense-free PT than Richard is the right one for you. More...

I've been training with Richard for the past year and it's been great! He's helping me with rehab exercises to deal with a back injury caused by so many years of working at a desk. I thought there wasn't much I could do for my back, that it was something I would have to put up with, but he showed me how focalized work and careful instruction can lead to great results with the proper guidance! I initially started training with Rich with my ultimate goal to feel confident on my wedding day. Rich focused on helping me achieve those goals, and by making every session enjoyable yet challenging in no time at all my fitness began to improve, I had more energy and I was looking and feeling much healthier. Rich is passionate about fitness and healthy living and in addition to the training he gave me great guidance on diet. Each training session he'd encourage me to try something new and continually gave me the encouragement to keep going. Since achieving my goal & having the most amazing wedding day I have continued to train with Rich, focusing on boxing as I find this a fantastic workout. Rich is friendly, approachable and knowledgeable with a lot of experience in many different types of training. His sessions are always varied, interesting and a real challenge. I signed up with Richard to help me correct my bad posture caused by years of sitting at a desk and slouching in the chair at home - I am sure I am not alone here! . Over the last couple of months he has skillfully led me through a program of exercises to stretch and strengthen my back and other posture muscles and the results are very encouraging. "In my 6 weeks of 'team training program I lost around 4.8 kg (would have to check body fat% and measurements but think I lost around 10cm from my waist), gained noticeable muscle tone and my fitness improved dramatically. [After the first week], I felt fantastic - I had more energy all of the time and was more focused and productive at work because I felt better.
Personal training was a great kick start to my fitness training and weight loss and I have continued with the training on a weekly basis for the last 16 months and lost another 12 kg."

Excellent trainer, been using Richard for about 6 months and always offers a different session with new ways to do various exercises. Whether he is personal training or class training he always ensures you are doing the exercises correctly. Richard also gives a lot of advice on nutrition which is useful.
