Just incredible. I didn’t have a clue about Rococo. I’m still not sure I fully get what “it” is. But don’t get hung up. This place is beautiful. And very very special. Don’t miss it. More...

This place is really lovely. I walked around in the sunshine with my mum, it was really quite and child out. There is a great area for the kids to play so I'd like to come back for a family visit. It is fairly expensive but a garden like that needs a lot of upkeep so I can understand why the cost is what it is. More...

Attractive, if small, country gardens. Fairly well maintained, with some interesting features (see photo of a particularly special wood carving), though £9 is a little much for an adult ticket. The cafe (which is open to the public without an admission ticket) is quite pleasant, with tasty rural fare (including one vegan option - a standard veggie burger). Probably not wheelchair accessible for the most part - though there is a disabled toilet. Plenty of stuff to keep young kids entertained including a maze, treasure hunt, and a small adventure playground. Overall, a fun couple of hours which could be extended with lunch at the cafe. Lovely place to spend a chilled day out. Plenty of activities for all throughout the year, nice grub in the cafe... Queue can take a while for both entry and the cafe on busy days but it's not the end of the world!

Is that building tiny or is it just far away?Nice to walk around for a couple of hours though some areas could do with smartening up a bit, although this could have something to do with the time of year. Lovely snowdrops though

I live locally and had always seen the signs but never visited until today and I am so glad that we did. Lots of natural habitats and original artwork to see with a children's play area and safe maze. It is fair to say that there are lots of hills, however virtually every slope and set of stairs has a handrail. Wear sensible shoes as paths are established but natural. If you are wheelchair bound then there are enough accessable areas to make your trip worthwhile. There is a really nice cafe which is very reasonably priced. More...

This place gets it just right. Beautiful, quirky garden with friendly staff and volunteers, lovely cafe (seating inside and out) & a gift shop. Plenty to appeal to kids without a trace of electronics or coloured plastic. Been coming here for years and each time I go there’s something new, but in a very low-key uncommercialised way eg Woodland pathways extended, kids’ playground (so well camouflaged it doesn’t intrude on the natural beauty), views opened up. Well worth a visit, even in gloomy weather. More...

Lovely visit to see the snowdrops on Saturday 25th Feb, fabulous walk too among the garden and buildings. Like how they are encouraging children to visit. Nice lunch in the cafe. Lovely gifts in the shop. There are some negative reviews about the shop and cafe, I think it has just got too popular too quick. Maybe need to add more. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The first really beautiful sunny day and my friend and I made a first time visit, the word was 'wow' as we pulled into the Carpark, the views are spectacular, cows and sheep gentle grazing in the fields, birds singing, what could be better! ! Well the food for one, we both ordered the steak and ale pie...delicious, served by lovely helpful, friendly staff. We then paid our money and went for a fabulous leisurely walk around the spectacular gardens and follies. We had much fun running around the maze, stopping for a few sharp intakes of breath every now again, climbing to the top of the pigeon loft, swinging on the swing, coming across the bavarian castle tree stump and much much more, it's a real gem on our doorstep. Wonderful day out at the Rococo gardens yesterday . Sun was shining so made the best of it . Snowdrops we're out in full bloom . Took advantage of the free talk at mid day down on the bowling green area about the History of the garden , house & snowdrops . Enjoyed a delicious lunch in the cafe afterwards which is dog friendly . All staff very helpful and friendly . Purchased one or two items from the gift shop and from the nursery a small potted snowdrop plant to take away with me as a keepsake and reminder that Spring is in its way ! Definitely worth a visit if you have a couple of hours to spare . More...

A true depiction of an era that must not be forgotten. Rococo had the perfect balance of ornate and wild. Our two children loved the open spaces. We had a peek at the new play area currently under construction and will certainly come back when it is finished. Many secrets are hidden within the gardens to discover, but I won't ruin the surprises. The staff are very happy to answer questions for those garden lovers who want to know more about the history. Rococo was the perfect escape for a day. More...
