What I love about this place is the trainers. I have been to several workout places in San Antonio and the trainers didn’t pay attention to my technique. I sustained a rotator cuff tear from a group workout class and the trainer never corrected my form. When I complained about pain, he told me I was just fine and work through it. The trainers at Wellfit are professional and the women in the group class are so much fun! Great classes, trainers and workout buddies! More...

This gym has such a great and inviting atmosphere with awesome instructors. They had plenty of machines and equipment for a thorough workout. I tried out their strength training class and it was educational and intense. Chris the Crusher led my training and I left feeling great. More...

Our Elysian property, Nobu Station was wanting to do our first ever Yoga by the pool and truly had no idea where to start. WellFit was not only the first one to reach out to us, but the first professional one who also helped me get started since I did not know exactly what I wanted. They also provided mats, blocks and music for our residents. The instructor who came was Janee, and she showed up early to set up, had good communication with me and was very understanding that I was not around since I was busy in the office. She greeted our residents and ended the class with them all extremely happy. I talked to a few of them and said the class was great. Hoping we can set up more classes in the future with them and now since I have an idea of what I am looking to do, we can have an even bigger turn out :) Thank you for the great experience! More...

I am 55 going on 45 thanks to Wellfit and their staff. No cookie cutter workouts here. There personal training is geared towards your personal needs and focuses on you and the areas you need to work on. I've been working out with Patricia Englund for several months now and the results a phenomenal. I not only feel good, I look better than I have in 25 years and have become addicted to my daily exercise routine. Don't fool yourself, it does take hard work and commitment, but if you give it your all the staff at well fit will return the favor 10 fold. Highly reccomend this experience. More...

You may not know me but you may be able to recognize some similar issues. Before I signed up with Patty-- I had spent decades of my life wanting and trying to get in shape. I had unused gym memberships, hired personal trainers, bought videos (way back when they were the big thing!)--you get the drift. Patty changed all that-- no more gimmicks and half-ass attempts! Now I look forward to working out, feel the support and loving I need during this transformation and can't stop telling everyone to just go give her a try! Wellfit is AMAZING. I am 55 and have old injuries that we need to work around. Patty is able to modify the exercises so they don't hurt but I am still getting the workout. 17lbs. down and a lot more to go. Thanks Patty More...

If you are looking for a personal trainer, Wellfit is the place to find the best! I personally train with Patty, but the entire staff has gone above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. I signed on as a person who had never worked out in a gym before. I have always been a bit overweight and not very strong. At the age of 48, I decided I was tired of being tired and yoyo dieting. Patty immediately increased my caloric intake (yikes!), customized a meal plan specific to my needs and put me to work in the gym teaching me proper form and how to work hard. This place is awesome. I was in San Antonio for a couple of days with family. My daughter and her fiance work out here with Jackie and Jorge so I came with them to get a treadmill workout in. It's small but not cramped at all. They have everything big gyms have except for the crowd. Machines, free weights, Olympic, plyo gear etc etc. So I forgot my running shoes. The trainer gave me the pair off her feet!! And did I mention her cutest puppy More...

Patty was awesome! We sat before the session to talk about what I wanted out of it and also where I thought I was at. Since I am just getting back into my workout routine and am looking for something that fits me, I am beginning all over again. She was patient with me as I worked through the tougher moves, and while she never stopped pushing me, she was always cautious and mindful of making sure I wasn't pushing myself too hard. When I signed up for the class I didn't realize how serious a workout it was, but she made sure to show me modifications if I wanted them and hyped me up the whole time. Afterwards she stretched me out to make sure I wasn't too sore or tight the next morning and let me know how to beat attack my next workout, even though it wasn't with her. I highly recommend working with the WellFit team.  You are never too old to take control of your life, but most of us need help to get moving in the right direction.  I am 55 years old and was pretty sure it was too late for me, but I found Patty Englund and the WellFit team and can honestly say that the difference they have made in my life is phenomenal.  I look fantastic, I feel even better and appear 10 years younger than I am.  Don't get me wrong, it takes hard work and commitment, but without the encouragement, support and expertise of Patty and her team I would not be where I am today.  True, I am still a work in progress, but well on my way to being well and fit.  Patty is tough, but after only six sessions with her I had lost 5 inches and 4% body fat, that's 3 weeks folks.  I am 12 sessions on and down 2 dress sizes already.  This is, hands down, the best investment I have ever made.  If you're thinking about it, I encourage to go for it, you won't be sorry. Requested a personal trainer via Thumbtack, received a response from Patty within an hour and she set me up w a free consultation.  I Met with Christian Morales, late August, and have been sold ever since.  He catered to my needs and built / designed a workout regime that met my requirements.  Not pushy nor your standard sales / commission oriented  trainer that only wants your money.  Time & careful consideration goes into planning each workout and Christian even takes note of your ailments / injury if any present themselves and will mod the workout, however equally as tough.  I have purchased approx 20 sessions, and each day is a fun - new workout that I look forward to.  I'd recommend Christian to anyone looking to trim/tone up or make a major life / fitness improvement, with has experience, attention to detail and competitive personality he will cater to your needs / wants and deliver outstanding results.  -Rudy. WellFit has been one of the best investments I have made for myself. All the trainers are very knowledgable and easy to work with. During my training sessions, I have seen them work with their clients and the atmosphere they provide is positive and great for forward progress. The owner, Patty, is my trainer and she has been super hardcore with me. I have been training for Civil Affairs Assessment and Selection, one of the Army's jobs in Special Operations, and I feel as prepared as I can be for this demanding event. Since Patty has served in the military, she knows how demanding cadre are and the high expectations that are set for Soldiers upon arrival at the various schools. She is a drill sergeant and has purposefully has been tough on me. She always demands proper form and pays close attention to any aches or pains you may have during the training session. Her extensive background in nutrition has helped me cut weight, lean out, and build solid muscle. I know that every training session I have is going to be challenging and tough and Patty has helped me dig deep down to complete reps and continue the entire workout even when I am tired. She has shown me that I can push my body through more than I every thought possible. I highly recommend WellFit for anyone that wants to improve their fitness level. I have to say I am pretty surprised by Melissa C's review. I started working out with Patty at WellFIT in January and I have had nothing but great results and experiences. Patty and the rest of the WellFIT team are ALWAYS there to help wether it be emotional support or what have you. All of the trainers are friendly and knowledgeable. My question for Melissa C would be, if your dad is a fitness expert why did you hire a trainer in the first place? Secondly, I'm training for a competition and I know for a fact Patty would not have a beginner doing 70 lbs on anything because as a competitor she doesn't even have me doing that. I started 2015 committed to a lifestyle change. I watched several of my friends transform their lives last year with Patty at WellFIT and am determined to achieve my goals this year. Patty met and evaluated my abilities right away. She developed and shared a custom nutrition plan to meet my objectives and set me up with individualized training sessions with Marijah. I am so happy with my progress. I have lost 15.75 inches, 6% reduction in BMI and 17 Lbs in the last two months! I've lost two dress sizes! Marijah is simply AMAZING! She positively encourages me throughout each workout keeps me focused to do my best. I just love her! She continues to awe me in that no two workouts have been the same; I love the way she mixes it all up and targets every muscle in my body during each hour long workout. Patty cares on a level that exceeds my expectations in every way. I have a disability and Patty has worked with me on pain management strategies as well as counseled  me to develop coping mechanisms for dealing with the emotional and mental issues that come along with dealing with chronic pain. I have been a member of Anytime Fitness for close to 6 months. Patty and her company came aboard during the beginning of the summer. I never thought about using a personal trainer. I always thought my own exercise routine and eating habits were exceptional. From time to time, I observed Patty's training style, and the way her clients achieved great results quickly, they also enjoyed themselves. I figured it wouldn't hurt to use her for a few sessions to recharge my workouts. Well a few sessions turned into a regular workout program where I meet with her 3 times weekly. I can't tell anyone enough about how great she is. Her workouts are very challenging and yes, she will make you sweat, but her humorous personality and take charge attitude really keeps you focused and makes the whole session enjoyable. Patty is one of those rare trainers who is a full-time personal trainer. She has the deep-rooted passion for helping people and isn't in this business for a quick buck. She cares. She tells me she has been in this industry for sometime now, and her experience and fun-loving attitude truly does shine through. She's an inspiration. I would highly recommend her to everyone. I told her I was writing a shining review for her, and she became a bit embarrassed about it. But I told her that more people need to be aware of her and her training programs. I have been using Patty for 2 years now. She warned me she was tough. She was not kidding. After a couple workouts, I wanted to quit. Because of the soreness. I had felt muscles I had never realized I had. But I pushed on. She's tough, doesn't take no for an answer, doesn't take excuses. I got the results I wanted and have never felt better. She motivated my wife to start and an exercise program. We now workout together. Patty provides a hard yet motivating workout. The studio is private and one of the cleanest gyms we have experienced thus far. One thing I would change are the times the studio is open. We here at WellFIT don't provide diets. Diets are temporary fixes to a long-term issue. What we do is provide healthy eating plans, plans that can easily be integrated into your lifestyle without deprivation, without loss of energy, without frustration etc. Live your life, but healthier from here out.

After our first free personal training session and consultation, I design a challenging yet motivating exercise program based on the clients current level of fitness and ability. I make small progressions on a weekly basis in order to obtain consistent positive results.

Eat Clean, Get 6 to 8 hours of sleep per night, hydrate, train regularly, be happy. Thats it..
