I am pleased to recommend OISC for all who are looking a great quality education customised by their own needs. Having spent a week studying mathematics individually (1-to-1) with a tutor, I received a strong foundation for the further advancement in this area. The programme was fully designed for my purposes and the tutor scrupulously closed the gaps in my knowledge. Moreover, I liked the tutorial system approach, when I was given a question or a task and instead of the direct solution I was able to try my own hand at solving the problem. It is not very simple, but allows you to significantly advance in a short time. The effectiveness of the tutorial system is not possible without full concentration on the subject, and the staff of the Centre did everything so that nothing distracts me. I must mention the Director of OISC, Ben, who found a very friendly and kind host family for me, so I didn’t have to deal with household issues at all. To sum up, I was absolutely happy to study in the Centre and I strongly recommend it for everyone! More...

It was such a great experience. The entire team of Oxford International Study Center is very friendly, cooperative and ready to provide assistance in all situations. We had the honor of learning from the world-renowned expert in the fields of education, Dr. Glenys Hart and learn from the good practice, from Gail Yeats who is an excellent practitioner. We had an opportunity to visit a new and modern special school, Mabel Prichard School in Oxford. I gained practical skills relevant to my current job. I learned about new methods of working with pupils with disabilities and improved my knowledge of education systems in other countries. I've met wonderful and creative people. Thank you all!!! We had to find a summer programme in less than a week for our Spanish student and Benjamin was amazing at organising everything for us. Our student was delighted with the management and said that she never felt more comfortable and the lessons and campus accommodation were perfect for her. She has been in summer courses in the past, but as a university student she needed something more challenging, interesting and academic. We are so please with the outcome. She said that after lessons she felt the motivation to want to learn more. The teacher made the classes interesting and inspiring. She was the only Spanish there, and that was a plus. She had a great experience and made new fiends. we are very pleased Benjamin. many thanks from Anglo Education angloed.com More...

All in all, truly outstanding, both for summer courses and university application help. In 2015 and 2016, I spent two weeks in Oxford with OISC in the summer and each time, it was an enriching experience: fascinating lessons, (extremely) friendly staff and interesting activities in the afternoons; I can only recommend the homestay option, which not only allows for greater linguistic immersion, but also means you get to know a less touristy part of the city. Additionally, OISC were able to offer me invaluable advice and support for my (successful) UCAS application and university interviews. The wealth of information provided was, I believe, crucial in mastering the British application format; I was also excellently prepared for an additional A-level needed for my application by e-mail tuition with Philip. In short, I was extremely satisfied with the services provided by OISC, and would like to give special thanks to Philip (for his demanding but rewarding lessons and essay marking) and Dawn (for her constant support). Hello. Our 5 yo daughter was there last year. 7 weeks. She liked going there and the staff made her feel comfortable. Bare in mind that dealing with a 5yo child without English knowledge is difficult, they dealt it quite well. Some troubles at the beginning, but we solved them. All the staff is OK, but a special THANK YOU to Heather, her teacher. I am sure you can find better schools around but if you are looking for some small school were you can leave your child without troubles, worries etc, go to OISC! We trusted them. a plus: LGBT friendly, More...

I was in OISC for a training programme, which was prepared especially for our group. We've learnt how to work with autistic children. The programme has met our expectations in 100%. Gail - our teacher - was very helpful and always well prepared. She works as a teacher with autisctic children so her experience and advice were invaluable. In the afternoons we took part in "cultural activities" organised by OISC. It was awesome and here I would like to say thank you to: Marianne - for all the practical information and a great Harry Potter tour; Ed - for all the museums and a history of Oxford lesson; John - for a delicious cream tea, chalenging punting and a lovely Botanical Garden; Ben - for having us there. To sum up: professional school, great atmosphere, cool people, awesome two weeks. I would love to go back there one day! More...

It was a pleasure to participate in teacher training programme. We've learnt how to deal with behavioural difficulties. The main strength of the project was, that it was conducted by practitioners - teachers who work in school for children with special needs, where we work too. Thanks to them we learnt practical solutions, that can be easily implemented at our workplace. Our teacher Racheal, was always ready to answer our questions and cover all the topics we were interested in. We also spent a great time during the activities organised by OISC. They were very flexible, adjusting programme to our needs. We are especially grateful for Harry Potter tour organized by Marianne. Accommodation was great. I stayed in Lady Margaret Hall which had a great Oxford feel with its amazing dinning hall. Other teachers stayed with host families. They said that all of them were very helpful and friendly. Thank you very much! More...

Last year I had been with Oxford International Study Centre for 2 weeks during Easter Holiday. I decided to stay in college and not with a family (really enjoyed the St Hugh's college as my residence). I did some sort of 'crash course' for my final exams (I'm from Germany, we call it 'Abitur') and I had a lot of fun. Even tough We didn't reiterate the content we did at school.. which I had expected, it still helped as I've learned much vocabulary and a lot of grammar. I think especially for people who don't have a good grasp for grammar, this "crash course" could be really helpful. The schedule of lessons seemed to be quite intense first but time went by in a flash as the teachers, especially Philipp, were really nice and skilled. They handed out many (selfmade) worksheets that I often made use of when it came to writing an exam back home in Germany. Honestly..They gave us so many worksheets that my luggage almost exceeded the limit of allowed weight at the airport. The best part of those 2 weeks were the people I've met over there & with which I still have contact. It was easy to become friends as you spend a lot of time together during lesson, but We also spent much time "off-time" together: went to London, had lunch, went to different bars in the evenings where we met even more people...Oxford is really a great place! In conclusion, now that I've passed my finals & finished school, I can recommend the OISC warmly to anyone who feels insecure in English as you start to feel way more self-confident with the language after spending 2 weeks under the british flag. If you have questions concerning my stay in Oxford, whether it's about the OISC itself or the college I stood at, don't be timid contacting me :) More...
