Susan Wiater is not only AMAZING at what she does, she truly loves it and is kind, compassionate and caring. She really cares for the dogs and people she works with. Her free seminars are an invaluable asset to the dog community, especially for owners of pit type dogs, whom she accepts with open arms. My dog and I learned so much at her reactive dog seminar and I will be attending again with my other dog. She is an all arounc remarkable human being!!! More...

Susan is remarkable! I met Susan volunteering at a rescue down the street and began fostering a dog. I asked Susan if she would be willing and able to board and train while we were away. I can't even tell you how at ease I felt having our pup with her. She sent me progress reports, videos, pictures and even a recap at the end of the stay to let me know what they worked on, what to pay attention to and how to continue his training! If you need help with training or boarding, Susan is a must! Thanks again for everything! She does this because she clearly loves and wants to best for dogs! More...

I have a 9 month old very energetic and large puppy. Before we met Susan I described my Willow as my crazy and very naughty puppy. I realized after spending just 5 minutes with Susan that I needed, and still do, as much if not more training than my pup! I had worked at a dog daycare, watching over more than 20 dogs at one time by myself for over 4 years. I was great at it but my one dog Nope! Lol I could write something extremely long about how wonderful she is but I'll save it for when you meet her! In one session she taught me what I needed to work on more than what Willow needed to work on. Willow is a lab puppy and needs to be exercised not just physically but mentally as well. She explained what tools to use, toys, food bowls, treats, and most importantly how to train with positive reinforcement rather than getting irritated and frustrated when Willow misbehaves. It's all about praise praise praise and Willow has responded so well! She really opened my eyes to what's healthy and what's dangerous when it comes to food and treats. Again, I could go on and on! Willow listened to everything she said when we were there. It was crazy to watch. Lol I've been looking forward to our next training session since I left the first one! Lastly, she gave me homework. Wrote everything we went over down for me. My pup and I are still working on things bit with great progress now ☺ Susan is a straight shooter, tells you like it is and is so full of knowledge and love for all fur babies. Absolutely amazing! We went to see Susan with a puppy we are fostering who was very fearful. She gave us amazing tips and ideas that have turned our little foster pup into a happy and confident girl ready for adoption!

Susan hosted a class for a group of us that taught us how to deal with things like, catching stray dogs, breaking up fights, things to do if an aggressive stray dog approaches you when you are out walking your dog, what to do if you are mauled, etc. It was an excellent class, I learned soooo much!
I've earned the title of dog catcher in my neighborhood because I'm always returning my neighbor's pets home when they escape, & there was so much that I didn't know before this class that will help me in all of my future catches. Thanks so much for all that you do, Susan!

Susan of Out of the Dog House Training was an invaluable source of help with our foster dog's separation anxiety and reactivity. Her Board and Train service helped identify the issues and create a foundation which allowed us to continue training at home with her continued follow up. This dog was "high need" and several trainers declined to even help even though we were willing to pay their fees. Susan was there when we needed her. More...

Susan Wiater is a highly skilled and highly respected trainer who specializes in aggressive and fearful dogs. I have seen many dogs that she has worked with, make remarkable transformations from the science-based, gentle and humane methods she uses. She is highly sought after by many local rescue organizations and shelters for her expertise especially when it comes to aggressive dogs. Susan also donates a lot of her time to providing free or low-cost training and behavioral help for rescues, shelters, and low-income families. I would highly recommend her services. I am curious if this Bryan S who says that Out Of The Dog House adopted an aggressive dog to him, is the same Bryan S who also accused another local dog trainer (Paw School) of impropriety on their Google Review page, also within the last few days?
