I've had the pleasure of working one-on-one with Jim as his MAMFT supervisee and cotherapist for over two months now and I can confidently say that he is the best supervisor I have ever worked with. His no-nonesense style is refreshing and I have greatly benefited from his efficient and direct way of communicating. Many supervisors just provide passive "feedback" on cases based on what they hear their supervisees mention during their supervision hour. This is not good enough for Jim: he asks the tough questions, offers research and other helpful data for extra insight on cases and is diligent about keeping an eye out for the legal and ethical liabilities associated with each case discussed. I can trust Jim to provide a very valuable supervision experience every time I meet with him. Jim teaches, protects, validates and challenges me to be a competent practitioner.
