What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy the satisfaction of developing a client's financial function to the point where the accounts are accurate and the management information reflects the reality of the business and forms the basis for credible decision making.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It evolved from an amalgamation of all of my skills, 30 years experience in commercial financial management, time spent as an Angel investor and fund raiser, financial modelling using industry leading techniques, a number of years as a portfolio finance director and preparing and filing annual accounts and CT600s.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am mobile, flexible, home based so cost effective. I get on well with people and am conscious of the concerns that incumbent finance staff may have when a finance professional arrives. I take the time to understand the dynamics of the client company and its culture. I add value to the organisation, and usually save more than I cost. As an example, by generating credible and informative management accounts and KPIs a clients margin went from 42% to 54% for no other reason than the areas of overspent and inefficiency were now visible.
