Eddie is the best! Eddie has provided training for us on and off for the last year or so. We adopted our dog, Sandy, from a rescue org. a few years ago and she struggled with separation anxiety, leash reactivity, etc. After trying out several trainers with very little success, finding Eddie was a life-changer. From the start, he has been very clear and straightforward. He teaches simple, tangible skills to practice at home between sessions. He is very knowledgeable and well researched, and has been able to instill confidence in us at our most frustrated and hopeless moments! I can't even begin to describe how incredible Eddie is. I'm not exaggerating when I say he changed our lives.When we adopted our dog Ruthie from BARC, she was sweet with us but had SEVERE behavioral issues. The first time Eddie came over she was terrifying, to be honest. It was like seeing a different dog. Eddie was calm and collected and knew exactly what was going on. I think many trainers would have high tailed it out of there, but Eddie was wonderful.When we first started working with Eddie, Ruthie was territorial, overly protective, and aggressive with people. Just taking her on a walk was exhausting and stressful for both her and for us. She lunged at dogs, people with canes, wheelchairs.... it was so stressful. When we started working with Eddie, everything changed. He worked with Ruthie and worked with us to give her the structure, love, and support she needed to really trust us.We've since moved from New York, but our dog is now friendly, gets along great with other dogs, loves people, and is just a joy to be around. She walks off leash, can be trusted with friends and family, and is highly, highly obedient. (People regularly remark on how well trained she is because she always follows her commands -- the ones Eddie taught us almost two years ago!) Eddie helped us become the best dog owners we could. He also boards dogs and is wonderful! Ruthie LOVED staying with him and his pack.And from a logistics and price standpoint, you really can't do any better than Eddie. It's still mindblowing that such high quality training is available in New York with such a great guy and qualified trainer at this price point. I wish I could give him more thank 5 stars. Just 2 weeks board & train with my dog Flash and I can trust him to play off leash and have solid recall. Eddie has a wonderful personality and was a real pleasure to work with. I trusted him right away. His techniques changed the way I interact with my dog and the results were seen right away. He didn't just train Flash. He trained me as well. Flash is a better and happier dog because of Eddie. Thank you!!! More...

I could not recommend Eddie and NYC Pawcademy enough, our dog Lola has a strong personality and doesn't listen or walk with many people. Eddie was able to work with her and she's now walking great. There are few dog walkers and dog walking companies that will give you as much personal time and attention as NYC Pawcademy. Eddie is always on time and let's us know how the walk has gone with photos and videos, he is not only excellent with dogs but you know that your home is safe in his hands. We have used several dog services and none even come close to the quality of NYC Pawcademy, we could not recommend them highly enough, after all why would you want your family member to not have a dog walker that feels like family walking them. I adopted my lil gal Penny from BARC Shelter last summer on a whim, and received Eddie's contact from them when I asked for a great trainer recommendation in the area. That same day, I called him to set up our first training appointment, and he was more than happy to accomodate me on such short notice, with a first training session that same night. Little Penny did so well learning her first command!!Eddie was friendly, knowledgable, caring, and professional from the start of our first conversation. He went above and beyond in providing me and my family with a ton of tips for caring for our new furever friend, and was consistently punctual and reliable with both our training dates and for her daily walks. As someone who really new nothing about caring for a new puppy, from crate training recommendations, being there for me via text for sudden walking/training swaps, or questions on raising a new pup, I couldn't have done the first few months without him. I trusted Eddie with my precious little girl up to 5 days a week sometimes, and for boarding and training. I highly recommend his trainings as she and I both learned a ton that we still implement.
