I know Chef Chris through a mutual friend and recommended him to my boss to cater a big company event. I'm not an event coordinator, but I handled all of the logistics for this particular event, and Chris eased my nerves from start to finish. He was super responsive, organized and proactive with all of the correspondence - even asking questions to make sure I had all of my bases covered (beverages, food storage, etc). Chef Chris and his staff were amazing! We had a surprise birthday for my hubby at our house - about 35 people - passed bites, cocktails, cake! My guests were raving - all I can say is HAVE A PARTY AND DON'T HESITATE - HIRE THEM!!!!Chris comes with full service - staging, prepping, serving, bar-tending and best of all cleaning up! We hired Chef Chris for a bachelorette party of 13 girls! He was absolutely fantastic, so easy to work with, and made sure we had a perfect time. A couple of years ago, I hired Chef Chris to cook for a burger club. We typically went to burger restaurants throughout the city and ordered a sampling of burgers and sides. When it was my turn to choose the next location, I chose the BBQ terrace of my building. Chris made an amazing assortment of burgers and sides. He was amazing to work with in planning the event and pulled it off without a hitch. It is still the most talked about event for the group. I have since hired Chris for several small dinner parties. He puts together an amazing menu with passed hors devours, provides all of the ingredients, cooks, serves and cleans up afterwards. He has a great personality and interacts with guests in a fun and engaging manner. The food is fantastic. He even tells me what to buy for ingredients for a specialty drink that he makes. He's easily the single most professional, efficient and all around best caterer/chef I've ever com across. From planning an intimate 20 person get together to a 4 hour, 150 person rooftop carnival, Chris can take a 30 second conversation and turn it into something beyond your wildest dreams. What’s your signature dish?
As a versatile chef I can cook any dish but my favorite things to cook range from my family heritage in Italy and Argentina as well as my French Culinary Background. I love making home made pasta; it is one of my favorite things to do.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
I speak to them and understand exactly what they are looking for. I also want to make sure I know about any allergies or dietary restrictions before making their menu. I try to work within any clients budget and than create a menu that over delivers.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the fact that every day is a new adventure. I do weekly meal plans, train kids and adults, corporate parties and I cater ever event imaginable from the Grammy's to the US Open.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always had an entrepreneur mentality and with a bachelors degree and culinary degree I could put my passion to the test.
