We stumbled upon this place on Sunday night while walking around the village. It wasn't busy when we arrived so we were seated right away. The hostess was very nice and welcoming as was our server. He was a bit quiet but attentive and kind, so I was happy with that. My friend and I each had our own salads and then we decided to share one pizza and one pasta. The salad I ordered was the "pere" and it contained mixed greens, blue cheese, walnuts, pears and cherry tomatoes. The salad was very fresh and tasty with a generous portion of the blue cheese (spoiler alert: this place is great for cheese lovers). Then we had our mains. This pizza? This pizza I could everyday for the rest of my life. It was one of the best pizzas I've ever consumed. The pizza contained burrata, chives and cherry tomatoes and was absolutely delicious. The crust was great (it did get a tad weighed down due to the weight of the burrata so you have to eat it right away, but this might be bother to some people). The pasta was also excellent. We shared the spinach ricotta ravioli which was in a butter sauce with sage. The portion was perfect and all the flavors were fresh and tasty. I would come back here in a heartbeat. More...

I celebrated my birthday last night with a group of 13 people at Numero28 in Forest Hills. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The service was top notch and our host/waiter, one of the managers, was a pleasure to deal with. The food was delicious and they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. They also gave us a free round of shots which were delicious. They were apple liquor and Jack Daniels. Yum! We had so many different dishes from pasta to pizza to arancini to salads and everything was very tasty! Everyone said they enjoyed themselves. We will definitely come back! More...

Wow what a great experience here! To start off, the atmosphere was set perfect for a date with the dim lighting, wall decor, flowers on tables and well trained staff. I had the home made pasta in alfredo sauce which I highly recommend. Alfredo sauce sometimes has an overpowering taste of salt or parmesan cheese  but they got it right here. Can't wait to come back. Menu is expansive with creative and unique pizzas. I got the carbonara pasta and had some of the Bianca pizza. Both were fab. Chewy, homemade pasta in a flavorful cream sauce without being overly milky. Loved it. Pizza was great too. Came here for the $10 lunch special with a friend. We both ordered sangria, which was very good. We started with the arancini which was also good, although just one piece each. My friend ordered a salad which she loved. I ordered the gnocchi, which I didn't love. Something was strange about the sauce. It had a caramelized effect that was just not good. Very sweet and tangy, almost like BBQ sauce even though it was a red sauce. Would very much order a pizza next time, as that is what they are known for and the brick oven looked like it would produce some good crust. More...

Went here late in the evening on a Tuesday and sat in the back. I shared a small Margherita pizza, Parma salad, and montepulciano wine. The waitress brought us some toasted bread to go with our salad and that was a nice touch. Everything was made quickly and was so fresh and well plated. The salad had so many lovely flavors and textures. The bread was so light and fluffy, and the pizza was well cooked- although maybe a little too much as 1 corner was black, but I don't really mind that especially at the end of the day when the pizza ovens have been hot all day. It was such a pleasant experience for just picking the first pizzeriaWe saw on the block. We felt like we were transported back to Italy. More...

Beautiful location and decor. We love to sit outside, but inside is just as exquisite. The pizza. That's why you are here. And good for you. This pizza is amazing! At first glance you will think, "damn! That's expensive even for NYC prices!" BUUUT, that's because the pizzas(medium and above) are HUGE! It's a lovely oval shape that is so big you can pick two types of pie on one pizza. We always have leftovers. And I'm always thrilled to eat said leftovers and plan my next visit to. Numbers 28. Lots of great pizzas in the 'hood' but this one is one of the top. Check them out! I believe they still have live jazz certain nights, but check their website before quoting me on that. More...

They use great pizza dough, and the cheese-to-sauce ratio makes the pizza flavorful and light. I ate a slice of Margherita right outside, because you can tell a lot about a place based on their "cheese slice" -- and I am happy to say they passed my test, and I would love to go back. I strolled by here at 11am after going to the bookshop and I had to go in when I saw they were putting cannolis and fresh baked goods out (haven't tried but want to). I wasn't expecting the place to be as spacious as it was, but there is a large seating section in the back. It seemed a little dark and lonely, so I took my pizza slice outside in the sunshine. A pizza maker, Daniel, was super sweet, and the host/server Stephanie was extremely informative about how much pizza would feed a party of 8. Just for them I wanted to get delivery but they are a touch overpriced. A whole Margherita pie is $30 and the pepperoni or "Diavola" pie is $38. For context, 2 Boots is $26 for their meatiest pie. I included the menu below since you might be able to sling the "dough."Overall, I think their per slice is the better option and well worth it. More...

Amazing spot! Myself, my boyfriend and his family stumbled upon this cute restaurant and decided to give it a shot! so glad we did. Everything was amazing from beginning to end. We ordered the calamari, burrata for appetizers and then shared 2 of the most popular pizzas and cacio e pepe (must order) for the table. Our server was a gem and was extremely attentive. Through speaking with her we learned that a grandma does all of the cooking for the restaurant and most everyone working in the restaurant was in some way related to her. Our server was married to the grandma's nephew! After finishing our meal we actually got the opportunity to meet the grandma and she was a doll. She sent out complimentary tiramisu for the table . You could feel just how thankful and appreciative they were which was so refreshing (especially in NYC) will definitely be back! More...

We were down in the Village and were looking for an alternative to the regular pizza restaurants that we usually go to.  Read about this restaurant,  sounded good and decided to try it out.  The service was good.  We were offered inside or outside seating and chose to eat inside.  Cute decor with a section of wall decorated with wine bottles.  I had a pizza with roasted cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella.   My companion had the margherita pizza.  My pizza was excellent, lots of flavor.  Can't say the same for the margherita pizza.  It was plain with cherry tomatoes slapped on.  Totally flavorless.   Too bad.  The service was good, nice waiters very attentive. I'm giving  this a 4 because of my experiences on Tuesday and Wednesday with Diego if not a 3 would be hard to consider. Diego  makes the experienced here effortless, the drinks great and is so kind unlike when the manager is bar tending ; for me, he makes the aura feel pretentious and the vibe feel off and boring ; like really in Forest Hills?  I managed many properties at Rockefeller Center  and all my clients are very rich and to come to  a place in Queens  to be relaxed and not have that in for more than one occasion is not acceptable . Other then that again,  Tuesday and Wednesday are great and per Diego's recommendation, I'm now obsessed with their pizza el Bianca del diavolo with marinara sauce ; it's is life and I've ordered every time I go! I was on a mission. We are nearing the end of the summer and I needed to satisfy a craving... I needed to have pizza, at least a slice. I searched and found my target Numero 28.Numero 28 really has that Williamsburg vibe going, with the house music playing and BK atmospheric tone. For appetizer we had the fried calamari, which was nice and fresh. I did appreciate that if you order a large pie you can split it into two flavors. The split consisted of the Tartufo and the Bianca del Diavolo flavors. Distinctly different, but great tasting. The service was great, and the drinks were spot on. I also appreciated that they have daily specials. When I have food cravings I must satisfying them, I'm glad I came to the right place.
