NK Carpentry

I hired Nick some time ago and meant to review him for some time. Nick came to price the removal of 2 door frames and the refitting of 2 door frames and doors for me. He came on the day we agreed and gave a fair price so was hired to carry out the work. He arrived as agreed with a colleague and got to work. My property is an old Victorian terrace conversion flat and NO WALLS OR FRAMES WERE STRAIGHT. He and his colleague removed the old doors and frames and then used his tools and skill to refit two new frames such that they were straight and true. They shaved the doors down to fit perfectly and refitted the locks in the doors.The job really was a pig but he stuck with it and we are extremely happy with the result. I was in the middle of a living room and hallway refit so the finishing (sanding/painting) was done by me but we were happy with the price, service, speed and quality of the work carried out and would hire NK again. I've had a kitchen renovation (dismantling the old one including the tiles as well) and a very tricky bathroom repair (other builders, plumbers have came and looked and didn't know how to fix it) done by NK carpentry. Not only are they honest, trusworthy, efficient and highly skilled, they go out of their way to find the bathroom parts that we needed but couldn't find it because it was discontinued/ drive to IKEA together to find the missing unit parts... The whole kitchen and bathroom work was done in 5 days, and they came in few times after it was done because of a fault we found in one of the shower parts as the work was winding up. In other words, they really thought of ky kitchen and bathroom as their own responsibility, and did their best to make sure that I was satisfied! Very professional... The price was reasonable. I would highly recommend Nick. He's professional, affordable and pays lots of attention to detail. He did a great job of adapting some kitchen doors, a job that my previous carpenter had said was 'not possible' and 'too complicated'. My place was left spotless at the end of the day.
