What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a photograph: being in the moment, understanding what the subject wants, and understanding all the necessary visual elements that may work best to capture the essence of the subject.
It's important to look at every picture as if it's a story, or a memory frozen in time, because once one understands what story they want to tell in an image, and knows the significance of a moment, the vision is given clarity, and we take every photo knowing exactly what feeling we are trying to create.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is your vision? How do you wish to be portrayed in the images? What do you want to use the images/videos for? Is there a specific audience you are trying to reach? Is there a specific message you are trying to send, or emotion you wish to convey?
What do you love most about your job?
I love the pursuit of capturing beautiful moments which would otherwise be lost in the haze of everyday life. Imagine how many wonderful things we see over the course of a lifetime , which we soon forget, and sometimes without the viewfinder, there are things we don't notice at all... With photography and video, we can pinpoint the most perfect little moments, collect them and are able to keep them forever.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The ability to operate with total creative liberty and without rigid constraints.
Self sufficiency.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are very collaborative and open to ideas. We do everything in our power to make clients feel comfortable on shoots and set, and once we get down to work, we are serious and driven, but the atmosphere is always light and inviting.
