My first time meeting with a Spell caster and I have to say, it's really worth it. It had been 6months since my husband left me without saying anything. All thanks to Dr Tunde I was able to connect with my husband again with his powerful reunion love spell and now he loves me more than he used to. Eternally grateful with The Great Dr tunde I highly recommend, His contact details babatundesolutioncentre1@gmail.com or on his WhatsApp number +2348143581382 More...

I would highly recommend Gemma. She has been a great help for my 10 year old son. She has helped my son to understand his feelings / anxiety and has helped him and me as a parent to cope with a variety of situations which we had found challenging to manage. It has been extremely helpful to put a little distance between parent and child in trying to deal with feelings/behaviour. This has alll been achieved in a non judgemental and supportive way,. It has significantly helped my son to feel in control and have the confidence to deal with situations he would have previously found challenging. It has also helped me to understand how I can best support my son. More...

My first impression of Gemma was a great one. My 6 year old daughter, at the time, could be a little shy and Gemma dealt with this brilliantly. My daughter got to the point that she could speak to Gemma about her bed wetting which was amazing. Gemma really helped my daughter to explore the problem in a unique way and to get to understand herself on a deeper level, which I didn't realise would happen. The sessions helped her so much that she was able to wake herself up in the night, and not wet. She had a small relapse but is now dry every night. Thanks Gemma! More...

After suffering from depression for several months, I decided to contact New Steps Therapy for help.  Gemma was wonderful in helping me recover, she didn't push me or make me feel uncomfortable and allowed me to go at my own pace.  Now I have recovered and I can't thank her enough for all she did. Before all my sessions with Gemma, I was a shy person who lacked confidence in most things.  I had low self-esteem, scared to drive a car (I passed my test and was able to drive) and had an eating disorder.  I found it incredibly hard to have a full conversation with people and make new friends so I avoided social gatherings with my boyfriend and his mates and when I had the opportunity to go out with new people, I always backed out. Let me briefly go into each problem so you can understand how bad I was and how much I have improved with the help of Gemma.  I'll start with my confidence.. I work in retail which involves me talking to a lot of customers, which I found so hard on times that I just wanted to escape and run home.  I found it hard to get to know my colleagues and make friends (as I had none and lost them after leaving school and college).  Whenever my boyfriend's mates invited us out, I always ruined it for him by bailing out.  I passed many opportunities to go out and make new friends.  I completely sucked at interviews and would become a nervous wreck, which resulted in me freezing to the most simplest questions.  Now the driving ... I past my test and was quite confident on the road and then I had a little bang that made me HATE driving, I would always pass on taking my boyfriend home and either get someone else to drop him off or pay for a taxi for him.  If I did end up driving, I would leave ten minutes earlier than I needed to make sure nothing went wrong and I would be a nervous wreck throughout the entire journey.  Eating disorder - I weighed myself every single day, weighed every single food I had including sauces on a weighing scale and calculated all my calories on my phones calculator.  I completely cut out rubbish food and changed my clothes numerous times because I thought I looked fat. I know your most likely expected this response but I AM a new person! The brilliant thing about having the sessions and the hypnotherapy is that the changes happen naturally without you even noticing unless you really think about it.  I found this good as I was able to adapt to the change slowly and not having to be in shock of my change.  During my sessions, I asked Gemma would it be possible for her to make me a hypnosis tape which I could listen to whenever I needed a boost during the days I did not see her.  I found this incredible helpful as it allowed me to improve daily.  I finished my sessions just before the summer to have a little break and to see how far I could go on my own.  Now in work I find myself talking to lots of customers engaging in conversation that I started, I have a laugh with my colleagues in work and I also have made new friends who I go out with on occasions. I try my best to attend everything people invite me to and only seem to back out if there is a proper reason.  There is a lot more improvement with my confidence that I could go into but this review is already very long winded.  My eating disorder has improved but of course some things take time. However, I don't feel the need to weigh myself every day and I barely ever use the weighing scales for my food. I only change my clothes if the outfit doesn't go and I now eat some unhealthy food on occasions.  Lastly my driving, I drive a heck of a lot more! I drive my boyfriend home from my house and I also pick him up beforehand. I don't freak out when it comes to getting ready to go and drive. However there are some things I feel nervous about but they will eventually disappear overtime! I am now car shopping for my very own car which tells you a lot! (I used to share my mums).  I would love to go on and tell you every single thing Gemma helped me with and how much I have improved but I have already gone on too much! I would never be able to thank Gemma enough for how much she has changed my life.  She is absolutely brilliant.  She was a warm caring person who made me feel completely at ease from the moment I walked through her door.   I am the type of person who finds it very hard to explain how I feel but Gemma was able to read me through my reactions and was able to explain the feelings I was feeling and help me understand how and why I was having them in the beginning.  Even after my sessions, I am able to contact her whenever I need her.  I left her sessions with such a great friend who I feel I will always have even if we don't communicate in the future, I will never forget her! Thank you so much Gemma! More...

My 6 year old daughter has always been very scared of dogs, and after another awful summer avoiding parks and beaches I decided I had to do something. I did some research and found New Steps Therapy and went to see Gemma, somewhat skeptically I have to admit. Well, after 6 sessions my daughter is transformed. Her Grandmother has a puppy, and I have watched my daughter progress from being unable to stand next to or to touch the puppy without support, to playing happily and confidently with the puppy and telling me she is no longer scared of dogs. I don't understand how it works, but it does- we are so glad we found Gemma and gave this a try as to see our daughter so confident and happy is a joy. It 100% worked for us. More...

Q&As

I love seeing the positive change in the people I work with. Whether it's a child who used to be petrified of dogs being able to happily stroke their family pet, or someone who has struggled with their self-esteem for years, starting to believe that they truly are a worthwhile person.

After gaining by degree in Psychology I spent many years working in the field of child development supporting children with special needs (mild to severe) in a variety of settings. From there I went on to train in Hypnotherapy (and counselling) as a way to help both children and adults.

I came across hypnotherapy by accident whilst studying for my diploma in counselling and like many people I was somewhat skeptical. I very quickly realised however that it can be remarkably effective way of treating issues such as low self-esteem, anxiety and stress.

Before I discovered hypnotherapy I suffered with all three of these problems. Throughout my training I received hypnotherapy myself and I was genuinely amazed at the difference it made to how I felt and how quickly the change happened. So much so that I decided I wanted to specialise in these areas in order to help others the way I had been helped.

My qualifications and training include:
BSc (Hons) Psychology
Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Counselling Skills (Distinction)
Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
DBS checked
Child protection procedures training
MSc Play Therapy
