What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Often I would say the secret to taking a great photograph is blending in. I find the most intimate moments are captured when the subjects aren't aware they are being photographed, and weddings provide infinite opportunities to capture friends and family engaging genuinely with one another.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Definitely where and when the event will be! I always ask clients to review some of my images on my website to make sure that they are happy with my style of photography. The images that I show are ones that I like to look at myself, and ones that I like to take. I would hate for a client to expect something different than what I am going to give them when hiring me, so I am very up-front about my style of photography and would much rather a client find the best photographer for them than risk delivering a product with which they will not be thrilled .
What do you love most about your job?
I probably like the process of actually photographing a wedding or event the most. The challenge of getting the most out of a location, and of documenting the feel of a wedding. I also enjoy exploring new locations and venues and meeting awesome couples!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been shooting for quite a while and carry my camera with me everywhere because I love capturing genuine moments when people don't realize that I am there. Weddings offer infinite opportunities to do so, and I love being a part of something so joyful and fun, so I decided to go into business and start pursuing more opportunities to shoot weddings.

A client should choose me because they love my style. I wouldn't want to shoot a wedding under any other circumstances. If you look at my pictures and love what I show, then I think you are going to love your wedding photographs!
