Have just collected Angus and archie(our two spaniels) from their 10 day holiday with Nicki and Paul. The boys had a fabulous time, Nicki and Paul treated them as their own family with lots of cuddles and playtime. I'm sure the boys are looking forward to their next visit. The minute we arrive at Nikki and Paul’s road, Flynn gets really excited to see them. He always has a wonderful time and comes home for a very long, happy dog snooze. We left Cassie with Nicky and Paul for 2 nights. It's the first time she has not had a family member looking after her, ( she is 6 1/2 ) We had a lovely, worry free weekend, and Cass made the most of a grassy garden which she loved. Nicky kept us posted daily with pictures and a doggy blog which was great . It was a home from home for Cass who loves to get comfy with her blanket on a chair/sofa/bed. Our two elderly toy poodles (who don’t think they are old at all!) had a truly wonderful ‘home from home’ holiday with Nicki and Paul. Receiving ‘pupdates’ from Nicki (as my husband called them) each day on my phone, was lovely and reassuring that they were having a fine time without us and that all was well. This meant that we were able to properly enjoy our time away without worrying about them. We feel that they were completely at home with Nicki and Paul and that was such a delight for us all. What do you love most about your job?
Spending time with dogs, providing them with love, care, play and understanding when their owners are at work or on holiday. We understand a dog's needs, physically and emotionally and aim to provide the highest standard of service to the dogs in our care. I love to see a dog smiling on his/her walk or just from having a grooming session or a cuddle and stroking session. It gives me so much pleasure to see a dog wagging his/her tail, with their eyes shining brightly from the understanding that you love and care for them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Over the last few years, we lost our last three dogs, but wanted to continue to enjoy their company and friendship without the ties. I have continued to walk, but without my dog, and taking love and cuddles for the dogs I regularly saw along the way. Those dog owners have encouraged me to start this business. I am not ready to have my own dog again yet, as I am enjoying a little more freedom in my life, but I do want to share my life with dogs, so this business seemed an ideal opportunity for me.
Why should our clients choose you?
I will love your dog as much as you do. I have considerable experience (over 45 years) of caring for and raising dogs. I have cared for large dogs, small dogs, challenging dogs and those requiring medication on a regular basis. Clients and friends express the view that I have a natural empathy and understanding of dogs and all animals.
