They say first impressions count, well Myristica didn't disappoint. From the helpful and friendly staff to the amazing quality of the food. Oh! WOW! What a great new Restaurant! I have been meaning to visit Myristica at it's new home since it left Welshback a few months ago. I have tried other Restaurants to save time but there is none equal to Myristica. I have waited so long for one of their curries and once again! Everything was faultless! The friendliness and professionalism of all the Myristica Crew; The new setting and very tasteful dècor; The excellent Tiger beer on draught, and formidable selection of wines; Punctuality of the food and of course, the meal itself! By chance visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening (after walking out of another because of bad service) - very nice atmosphere, great restaurant with superb food and service - great choices on the menu catering for all pallettes, good portion sizes too. Highly recommended.

I took my wife and some friends here on a Sat evening. We'd left it late booking a table and Myristica was the only place with space for us. We booked early (7.30) and were a bit worried when we were the only customers there!The staff were great - attentive but not too much so. The menu was different to the regular curry house experience with lots of house specialities and only a handful of the easily recognisable dishes. This was good for me as it made me try something different to my normal lamb Bhuna. The waiter made suggestions for accompaniments which was really helpful.When the food arrived it was presented really well and, more importantly, tasted really lovely. The portions were sensible so we were all able to go on for the rest of the evening without feeling stuffed and tired. All of my party were impressed and, by 8pm, the place had filled up so there was a good atmosphere. Price was reasonable too – I was happy to pay a little more than your local curry house for what was a great experience.We’ll definitely be going back. More...

The meal last night was well presented and the quality of food of excellent taste. The ambiance of the restaurant and the unobtrusive yet attentive service was much appreciated by our group. The food was amazing and service was good but not great. They quickly rearranged tables to get us a table for two very quickly despite it being a busy weekend evening with no prior booking.
However, there was a fairly long wait for mains, but definitely worth it in the end.
The downside was this place could use the services of a good handyman to fix the holes in the walls/ceilings. Although this is a relatively petty comment, the prices here are significantly more than what you normally pay for Indian food and whilst the food is worth it, when you pay those prices you expect the environment to match.
All in all, I'll definitely be returning whenever I'm in that neck of the woods!
