I have been a student of Emmas for the past 17/18 years since she first started teaching Pilates in the Northeast. Emma has many years of experience, both training new teachers, and teaching many classes in person, is always very professional and respectful of her clients. Ema is always right up to date regarding anything new in the fitness and wellbeing industry and takes a personal interest in all of her students, and will tailor exercises to specific needs when required.There are many classes to choose from, ranging from different types of Yoga, BarreConcept, Meditation and Mindfulness, to classes for the Over Sixties, as well as Strech and Tone and many more.I started doing Pilates to help me cope with a long standing back condition, and for many years it did help, but eventually I was advised by my consultant that I needed major back surgery, much to my horror. About this time Emma started practicing and teaching a method called Fascia Release, which involves specific stretching exercises, and the use of long foam rollers as well as small plastic spiky balls. Over the period of 3 to 4 months, while waiting for my surgery, my back problem very slowly, but steadily improved, to the point that I was so much better and was able to cancel my surgery, and now with careful management and Emmas teaching I am now pain free. I have no hesitation in giving MyBodyStudios a 5 star rating. More...

Excellent pilates, yoga and barre classes with knowledgable instructors. Friendly atmosphere in every class. Beginners to advanced and all ages are made to feel very welcome. MyBody Studios provides the perfect atmosphere and surroundings for either a relaxed and effective yoga practice or a vigorous BarreConcept class. The professional staff are friendly and welcoming, no matter how much or how little experience you have, the class is tailored to your ability. I thoroughly enjoy the Barre and Pilates classes. The instructors are friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Due to problems with most of my joints but particularly my back, I have been so impressed with their ability to adapt exercises to allow me to fully participate in the class without feeling awkward about doing something different. I attended a Pilates taster workshop at MyBody studios 3 years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve now tried most of the other classes but the problem is I love them all! All ages and abilities attend this friendly studio and the expert teaching ensures I get out of every session exactly what I need. With so many different classes to choose from, I never get bored or feel like exercise is a chore anymore. The weekend taster sessions are a great way to try something new and learn the basics before attending the main classes. I have been attending My Body Studio s for several years now. I attend as many classes a week as I can and it has become an intergral part of my weekly routine. I love the one to one attention that you receive from Emma and Jasmine during class . I enjoy Pilates yoga and barre. Kay's ariel yoga is amazing too. Having suffered from back problems for many years and seeing various specialists, I was recommended by a friend to go to Pilates at MyBody Studios. As a triathlete with symptomatic muscular pain, I sought advice from Emma to help with these problems. Through one to one support, Emma introduced me to a new way of muscular strengthening that I hadn't come across before, and three weeks later I'm happy to say that I'm making significant progress through the techniques and exercises she has given me. For anyone who struggles with muscular pain, stiffness or imbalance, I'd strongly recommend a visit to Emma to see if she can help. Having already consulted three physios for my problem, I'm greatly relieved that I've found a program that will put me on a steady course back to full mobility. More...

One of the outstanding attributes of Emma and the team, are their ability to make you feel they are looking after your own personal needs, within a group class. They know each persons limits and never push or make you do more than you are capable of doing.
A first class Pilates studio and team, can not recommend them highly enough, keep up the good work.

I've been going to mybodystudios for several years now and from past experiences at other studios I can honestly say it's level of commitment and tuition from the instructors is top class.

I'd thoroughly recommend everyone to give Pilates a try and if you're in the north east head over to mybodystudios to meet Emma and the team. You won't regret it :D
