Missy has been excellent instrument in helping me achieve my goal of loving myself and overall physical health. It is obvious she is always conscious of the clients needs and wants towards their goals. She dedicated her time for betterment of her clients. Not mention she is always positive and truthful, which, for myself, hold my accountable for my mistakes, thus making it an easier transition from falling off of the wagon to hopping back on. Missy Slagle has me on a Program that has truly transformed my life. I am writing my story as week 23 has just concluded. I have lost 50 pounds and 53-3/4 inches of girth ! This has already exceeded the expectations I had for 52 weeks. I feel better now than I can ever remember. I have gone from size 46x32 jeans to size 36x32. I went from 2XL T-shirts to XL T-shirts. I went from 2XL Boxers to Size L. Before I met Missy Slagle my behavior of working out more to control my weight and compensate for my spontaneous and habitual eating began during my first year in the Marine Corps in 1978. I kept up this pattern throughout my adult life. My story of transformation to becoming a fit and healthy man, of how Missy worked with me to save my life, began in early March 2019. This was the beginning of the end of a 5-year struggle where I continued to gain weight topping out at 280 pounds, had limited ability to exercise and watched my blood test results go into severely high-risk ranges. I was introduced to Missy by an acquaintance that knew I was seeking a Personal Trainer even though I believed that I had great strength routines, a decent Yoga Practice and could still ride my bicycle. I told Missy this and she asked me “what do you need to work on?” I replied “my nutrition may be one area where I could use some improvement”. And so, my commitment to follow Missy’s Coaching to change my Nutrition Behaviors began on March 11, 2019 . I was skeptical for the first few weeks. I took the encouragement that Missy provided and I made a decision. I decided that I was willing to do anything asked of me, and do the best I could, one day at a time. And I would see if Missy’s Coaching was for real. I got in to see Primary Care Physician, and my bloodwork is back into healthy ranges. My triglycerides decreased 66% (383 mg/dL to 129mg/dL). Dr Beck did not offer to reduce my Atorvastatin for hyperlipidemia. But, my Total Cholesterol decreased 20% (148 mg/dL to 118 mg/dL) and my LDL (bad cholesterol) decreased 28% (81 mg/dL to 58 mg/dL). I am not quite halfway through my 52-week commitment with Missy. However, the tools I now have are working and I have experienced an unprecedented transformation in my life!
