We were moving into a new build house with the view that this was the house we were going to live in for the foreseeable future. With this in mind we needed the house to work for us, as a young family. With a completely blank canvas we knew what we wanted, to an extent, but needed help to build on this and to envision it. Annie was recommended to us by a friend who was thrilled with her service. We were excited to have our consultations with Annie, initially to talk about our ideas, loves, needs etc and then to actually see our house on screen in 3D. Together we built a home that will work for our children, for us and for us as a family now and in the future. It was a real pleasure to work with Annie and we are delighted with the results. Having been in our house for 5 years and with a disparate range of furniture, art and fixtures, we wanted a whole of house plan to create something more cohesive and vibrant, and for someone to suggest ideas we’d never have considered yet still felt part of the right aesthetic. We also wanted to retain our existing furniture and add certain key pieces where appropriate. I don’t mind saying that it was not an easy brief!

Annie and Chris were very professional and charming; we had discussed our project with a couple of ‘traditional’ interior designers beforehand, but both cost and the fact that so much relied upon their intuition and mood-boards meant that to go down that route requires both significant outlay and a certain leap of faith. The fact we’ve been able to see our house in ‘virtual’ form with all fittings, paint, paper, lighting and furniture means we never needed to imagine the finished result, we can actually see it. That is a winning proposition to my mind, and we can now embark on our project and employ contractors with a clear picture for both us and they to work to.

Annie was very patient and readily took our advice on board, both when we were happy or when we sought changes/tweaks to the design. We went through a few iterations before landing on exactly what we wanted, even down to moving the odd piece of furniture between the rooms to see how it might look which was extremely helpful. Some areas of the brief were quite challenging, particularly as we wanted our front double-reception to operate as a snug, seating area and playroom all in one.

The results are superb and we’ve been given a comprehensive breakdown of paint colours, furnishings and wallpaper (+ suppliers). We’re excited to begin decorating and start the shopping!

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Annie; we’re very pleased we chose her and went down the remote/virtual interior design route. More...

Firstly, I just want to say I would 100% recommend Annie, for anyone who is considering anything from a room refresh to a house renovation project.

We were embarking on the unknown and were very much in the “love it or list it “ phase. We had taken a view that lack of vision wasn’t helping us make this decision..

Annie recently re-designed our new living room, and did such a fantastic job! Annie did a fantastic job redesigning our family room and living room. Being a very indecisive person and not having many skills in interior design and how to combine things, working with Annie was definitely the best investment for a peace of mind!

Annie was able to understand our needs and lifestyle, and was very creative, making the best use of the space and creating a stylish yet comfortable place. She created nice 3D visualisations, put together a colour palette to be used in the whole house (great to have this sorted!), suggested wallpapers options, always making sure we were happy. Annie also gave me lots of advice while I was looking for furniture, including how to be practical in my decisions having a toddler at home.

To be honest I would have spent much more time to think everything through without her, and for sure I would have missed many opportunities for improvement. The presented 3D images were above my expectations, and it is very nice to see the rooms from several angles. Annie also helped me to push the boundaries and think outside the 'match-match' box, which is great! Not to mention the lovely chats we had through zoom. I now feel more freedom and less concerned about exploring colours and patterns. So, without hesitation I recommend Annie to everyone searching for a high quality, fast and friendly interior designer!

Annie did a great job of designing my Lounge/diner in my 1960's flat. She was able to take the many, many ideas in my head and create something I would have never thought of but absolutely loved. Thank you

I have always been a home-obsessive so don’t consider myself clueless in this area but there is always more to learn, especially from the professionals. I am in the process of renovating a modest semi and have plans for a rear kitchen extension. I thought I was sure about the location and orientation of the new kitchen in a fairly small space but Annie’s creative input and great visuals turned that on its head - twice! Having a 2D scale plan is one thing but Annie’s clever 3D software brings it all to life; she can even add your chosen wallpaper to the space. Unprompted, she produced a space plan and visuals for the whole ground floor - from numerous angles - which was exciting to see and allowed me to consider the space as a whole once opened up. She made some great suggestions but was also mindful of how I live and my style - a truly tailored service. Here’s the thing. We have been debating ‘update’ versus ‘move’ for years. And I mean years! And the result is a lovely house that has been our family home for over 25 years that is now looking tired and in need of a makeover - a bit like its owners. Having finally decided to stay put, we had basic ideas about structural changes to bring the house into today’s way of living, but no idea how to best achieve what we thought we wanted. In danger of slipping back into even more years of raging indecision, - enter Annie!! I think she spotted the challenge during our first conversation, but undaunted she came over to see for herself. Rather than announcing that she had all the answers straight off, she spent time getting to know what did and didn’t work for us; finding out what current pieces were important; what colour palettes, textures and shapes we liked. It was challenging, illuminating and - most importantly for me - it lit a spark of excitement about what might be possible where before the prospect had simply felt daunting and a massive chore.
Today was the next stage in the process - Annie returned with a proposal for an enlarged kitchen and dining area which has both of us buzzing and keen to get started. Not only has she come up with ideas that we both love, we can see how we can tie it in to the rest of the house, so that there is a truly harmonious feel. Being able to see how the kitchen would be in 3D was so helpful - when you are considering big (expensive) changes it can be very hard to visualise and that can make commitment difficult. The suggested use of colour and lighting comes across well too and again it is reassuring to be able to see it in the 3D setting.
This is the first time we have used a service like this, and I would not hesitate to recommend Annie to anyone else considering if this is for them. It has really helped us and I am confident now that we will be able to achieve a workable, homely space that also looks great. More...

I am very pleased to be able to recommend ‘My Interiors Coach’. From the outset Annie took the time to get to know me and discover what was important to me about my kitchen/dining space. With her emphasis on the coaching approach, Annie was able to insightfully pick up on my preferences and attuned her suggestions and ideas to ones she felt would suit me, always careful to ensure that it was what I liked and what would fit around me and my family that was important. I felt like my needs for the project and my taste in design were fully respected and taken into consideration throughout the process.

Annie was able to identify areas where I might want to splash out and spend more or restrict spending to fit with my budget. At each stage she was careful to keep in mind the unique character of the 1700 townhouse property and was able to offer suggestions for how to accentuate the features that I wanted to keep.

The final design was presented to me as a 3D walk-through and Annie had done even more than I'd expected. She had taken the design brief and used her knowledge and design skill to come up with ideas for how to use the space in ways I never would have thought of for myself. She ended up virtually transforming the whole ground floor of my house, giving me an opportunity to see the potential that it has, both in a practical and aesthetic sense.

There are many opportunities that I can see I would have missed out on if I had opted for my own simple ideas for how to transform the space. There are aspects of the design that I might not use as my budget won’t allow for all of them, but, as I have felt through the whole process, those decisions are mine to make and I will certainly take a lot away from having worked with Annie. "Many thanks to Annie , whose knowledge and vision helped us enormously with the design for our extension. She understood exactly what we were trying to achieve.

We found it very difficult to visualise the final layout, but Annie’s ideas were excellent, and her skill in a visualisation so we could actually ‘see’ the final outcome, provided us with exactly what we needed. It gave us a focus and an idea of where we were going.

Planning an extension and modifying an existing layout is not for everyone; it is very easy to get it wrong, and end up having to modify a poor start! I would recommend Annie without hesitation to anyone thinking about any sort of interior design or architectural or structural changes to their house.
