It was my husband's 50th birthday and he really wasn't in the mood for me to throw him a party of any kind. But then I mentioned having a private sushi chef at our house and he replied "um, YES! " I randomly found M Sushi here on yelp and saw the wonderful reviews so I immediately wrote them to see if they would be available the following Saturday. I think I only gave him 7 days notice but they were available and 100% responsive!!! I also told Jack about our dietary requirements and he came to me with the most ideal menu. Well, tonight was the party, they showed up 2 hours early to prepare and set the gorgeous table (they brought own stands, flowers, bamboo, chopsticks). We had 30 sushi lovers here tonight and the sushi was fantastic!!!!!! The quality was A1, and the taste delightful and so fresh, and loved their special cut rolls and sushi. Highly highly recommend! We employed Sushi Private Catering to supply the bulk of the food to a 40 person dinner party at our house and everything went fabulously. In advance they were extremely responsive by email (usually replying in just a few minutes). We worked out a great menu and coordinated the details. They adapted easily to some dietary preferences we had. The pair of chefs arrived on the day of the party in advance as planned, set up, and were ready to roll (hehe) the moment the party started. The food looked lovely and tasted great. We received complements all evening about how amazing it was. We had a full spread of sashimi, nigiri, rolls, and even a bit of noodles and fried rice. I decided to have a private sushi chef for my company's summer retreat and must've contacted around five different companies. What stood out most about M Sushi Private Catering was their responsiveness and top notch customer service. They were able to work with my budget and even curated a lovely menu of popular rolls to assist in the planning of it all. The sushi chef came on time and  the set up was beautiful! We used this wonderful company for a recent Open House event at a very upscale home. We needed something elegant and luxurious to match the grandeur of the property, and Sushi Private Catering was the perfect fit. All the communication from the start was fast, efficient, and professional. Their staff is polite and accommodating, going above and beyond to make our event extra special. The set up and display is gorgeous, the sushi is extremely fresh and tasty, and our guests raved about it. We had such a wonderful experience working with this company! We were planning a 14 person bachelorette party in West Hollywood, all of us coming from out of town. We knew we wanted to arrange a sushi dinner as that is the bride-to-be's favorite food in the whole world. I reached out to probably 6 companies and only heard back from 2: this company being the most responsive & most impressive online reviews. The first email from Jackson already included a menu example based on the preferences I clicked online and had everything broken down for us. Having so much info upfront is really helpful. Jackson and his team were very patient as we narrowed down exactly what we wanted to serve for the dinner, including taking into account dietary restrictions for some guests. Regardless of how particular you are, all of the options they offer are unique. This is not basic-bland sushi!Speaking of flexibility, we had a shock when the day before the sushi dinner our original house rental had a busted pipe and water leak - forcing us to suddenly find a new house. There was no issue changing plans with Jackson and our sushi chef arrived perfectly on time to set up the dinner. Bruce, aka 'Bruce Lee', was a wonderful & kind chef. He always had a smile on his face as he calmly prepared the sushi while 14 girls ran around the house getting ready. He paused his preparations to also take some group photos and was very clean & organized the whole dinner experience. We felt really comfortable having him as our sushi chef.Everyone was absolutely blown away with the experience and couldn't believe we were able to arrange such as special dinner like this. Yum! This one of the best sushi experiences I have ever had and I eat it probably twice a week! Â We had a private sushi sesh for a bachelorette Labor Day Weekend and were blown away by the experience. Â Because this was for a meal we would have before heading out to a club, we knew the girls wouldn't want to eat too much or heavy rolls. Â We also had two ladies who were expecting so wanted to have something that would make them feel included. Â Jackson worked with us on creating a lighter menu that wouldn't compromise the taste, presentation and class that went into this dinner and made to sure to include plenty of delicious alternative options with chicken teriyaki and fried rice (mouth watering thinking about it!). He was kind, understanding of our needs and explained the menu extremely well. Â When it came time for our dinner, our chef "Bruce Lee", was professional, kind and quick as he showed up to our new location way up in Laurel Hills (moved a day earlier from our original Airbnb that flooded!). He began setting up as 14 girls ran around getting ready and taking photos. Â When we began our meal he took time to listen to what we liked the most. Â Time flew way too quickly and we unfortunately couldn't spend our entire night eating this amazing quality sushi. When a co-worker said she wanted sushi for her birthday team lunch I went on a mission to find someone to come to our office and make sushi for 35 people. Jackson was the perfect choice! We went back and forth on the menu and accommodations for vegetarians and non-sushi eaters. I can't speak more highly about Jackson, the quality of his sushi, and the professionalism of his two wonderful chefs, Laurence and Charlie. We had a group of around 35, including non-sushi eaters and a few kids. Laurence and Charlie wowed us with nonstop sushi, sashimi, and rolls, even fish-free items for the non sushi eaters. For two hours, they cranked out food, with new dishes each round, even making special requests for individual guests. At the end of the evening, they cleaned my kitchen thoroughly. The stacks of stuff they brought in were packed away, and we were left with only happy memories and a full stomach. I just wish there was a location we could go and eat, because if it were possible, these guys would be our go-to sushi spot. We hope to have you back again soon. The graduation of our daughter from college was a very important event for me. Sushi private catering by Jackson Mou made the party the most beautiful and important evening for all of us. 90 people came and ate like kings and queens the most beautiful spread of sushi which was not only original and delicious but of the most incredible quality that people were moaning as they ate. I have used this company on multiple occasions, including our engagement party and most recently my Husband's birthday party. They are LITERALLY THE BEST. Don't bother even looking elsewhere. They bring the HIGHEST quality fish and the best attitude! They can make your guests sushi upon request, but as a true sushi lover (I've been to all the best places in LA) I'm telling you this is some of the best fish I've had. We had them cater my wife's birthday party this past weekend. They did an AMAZING job. Debbie was our chef and she was very accommodating and wanted to cater to our tastes. All of the sushi Debbie made was delicious and she made unique combinations that were different and so delightful! Per my request, Debbie also provided a hands on, instructional demonstration which our guests throughly enjoyed eating sushi they assembled themselves. That was my first time ordering sushi catering. Communication with Jackson was very easy and right to the point. We finalized the menu in no time for my 10 people party. Jackson's partner Kai showed up on time and well prepared. The sushi was fresh and tasty, and the whole experience was a lot of fun! We had shrimp, toro, albacore, yellowtail, salmon, scallop and various rolls. I also have ordered teriyaki chicken and fried rice and the guests enjoyed it as well. There was way too much sushi and at one point we were eating just because Kai kept making them, not because we were hungry... At the end, he packed leftovers and cleaned everything.
