About

I am a wedding and portrait photographer, based in Cheltenham. I specialise in capturing your most precious memories both naturally and beautifully. I don't use artificial lighting or ask people to pose and am happy to work nationally and internationally (although I do charge for travel to locations outside of 30 minutes from Cheltenham).

Andrew was our photographer for our wedding back in July and he was AMAZING! We met up before the wedding and went through all of the kinds of photos we wanted and what was important to us. This was great because when the day finally arrived we were so at ease in his company and knew that nothing would be missed. He also made our guests feel so relaxed and it is reflected in the photos as they are so natural. Lots of our guests have said to us since the day that Andrew was the best wedding photographer they had met because he was so lovely and just blended in like one of the guests. Thank you for capturing our day so perfectly we will treasure the moments that you have captured for us forever. Thanks again Mr and Mrs Hayes. More...

Q&As

Magic moment, great composition, great light. Simples!

The most important thing is to be clear about what you want the images for. That might sound weird but there's a huge difference between a set of passport photos and reportage photography of a bohemian wedding! Do you really want 500 images or do you want 10 amazing ones to put on your social media or frame up for the mantle-piece? Are they to act as a record of events or do you want me to capture the moments that might otherwise be missed? Do you want candid, natural 'reportage' photography (my preferred style!) or do you want posed group or inidividual images? What kind of vibe do you want to reflect? Once you're clear about that I can get into the right mindset to take exactly the kind of pictures you want.

The people! I get to meet all sorts of folks and be part of their most special times, which is a real priviledge. I enjoy the technical and artistic elements of photography of course but it's the people who make the job so great. I'm still in touch with a lot of clients socially!

A love of photography and travel, a need to be independant and self-employed and the photographer at my own wedding who inspired me that I really could make a career out of it!

OK...
1. because I'm good! Take a look at my website for some evidence http://andrewlimbphotography.com/
2. Because I just get on well with a variety people. I went to an inner-city comprehensive school... and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst!
3. Because I'll add value to your day beyond the work. I'm truly disappointed if I don't delight my clients, not just through the photos, but through the positive energy I'll bring to the gig.
