I am a dog trainer myself but could not able to figure my own dog. I have recently rescued Rosie but she was aggressive and had attacked 2 dogs already. I highly recommend Morteza. We had not been able to leave Barney alone at home for the last 2 years as he would bark and bark.

We rescued a dog recently and if it was not because of Morteza's help we would have returned her back to the shelter. Jasmin, our beautiful dog, would bark at everything, would pull us on the lead, impossible to walk her, and would not come back to us when called. Morteza speaks dogs and the results are instant. Unbelievable, It only took 10 min for Morteza to change Coco to a calm dog. I could not believe my eyes when I saw her passing by other dogs and not even looking at them. I had used 3 other trainers before but Morteza was the real deal. He knows dogs and he communicates to them the way they understand. So I contacted the Bark team as quite frankly I was feeling desperate. Our lovely dog Jess was starting to take over my life.
We rescued her 5 years ago when she was 10 months old, emaciated and neglected. She suffers from separation anxiety and very unwelcoming behaviour towards visitors and certain dogs, this made me a very under confident and anxious owner. Thankfully Morteza was introduced to us...In just two sessions he completely turned things around and to be honest trained me in how to see things differently regarding Jessie's behaviour. It's early days but we are sticking with "our homework" and the difference is already remarkable...Jess is calmer, listening to our instructions (all given in a caring manner) and he's restored my confidence which benefits Jessie. What do you love most about your job?
Why do I love my job? firstly because I spend time working with the most adorable, kindest and most affectionate of the creatures.
Secondly, because it is truly a rewarding experience. Dog training is about helping a dog either to learn how to cope with living in the city (Sit, Stay, Heel ect.) or modifying a behaviour such as separation anxiety, excessive barking or aggression . If I can achieve that, what could be most rewarding than that? And you know what, I have always achieved that. I have never had a case where the dog told me I don't want to learn, or I rather live with separation anxiety.
Finally, dogs are greatest teachers; forgiveness, acceptance, appreciation and unconditional love. I get to work with natural Buddhists who live in the moment and ask you to do the same. What other job could offer me this?
What inspired you to start your own business?
In 2003 I happened to be working in a earthquake stricken city where dogs had lost their homes and their owners. It all started by feeding them one day and before I know, I had 13 of them living with me. I watched them growing up, giving birth, raising their puppies and sadly, losing some of them due to age or illness. In 2007, I had to leave for the UK, so had to re-home all of them. And I did! so left half happy, half heart broken. Happy to find them a home but of course very difficult to say goodbye.
Once in the UK, and wanting to be around dogs, I volunteered myself to work in a local dog shelter (cleaning dog kennels for Guide Dogs). I signed up for a dog training course and when completed, I started working for Blue Cross, training puppies and assessing dogs to identify their training needs. In 2011, and after dealing with hundreds of cases, I felt confident to start my own business. Since them, I have worked with a number of rescue centres rehabilitating dogs with severe behavioural issues so that they can recover and be re-homed.
Why should our clients choose you?
I spent years observing dogs in their natural habitat and around each other. I watched female dogs raising their pups and protecting them and learned fascinating techniques from them. I learned their language and how they communicate. Most importantly, I learned that in order to have a balanced relationship with your dogs and to enjoy this relationship to the fullest, you need to speak their language rather than applying human psychology and humanising them. As such, my training methods are organic ones. I believe that “mum knows best” and always take the lead of other dogs in dealing with those issues. I don’t use any tools and I use my dogs to help your dog overcome their issues. My focus, in most of my training sessions, is to train you so that you can continue and follow through.
