Terrible service, damaged my phone in the process of ‘repairing’. Claimed it was all covered by the t’s and c’s which is completely wrong (confirmed this with citizens advice)

My Moto G6 Plus died after prolonged overheating and charging-port issues. Mobitech replaced the charging socket, but the phone kept blowing chips. Would give 0 star if i could. Shocking service, complete lack of organisation, total disregard for customers. He's clearly lost the ability to communicate with customers and he NEVER gets royal mail deliveries with the parts hes apparently ordered!! Avoid at all cost! Terrible.

I have just spoken to the store and to Cameron who works at that store and he’s explained that the wrong screen has been sent by our supplier which we explained to your son when he came in this morning. We advised that we will have to re order the correct screen for you, and apologised for any inconvenience. Unfortunately errors can occur and wrong parts can be sent, as much as we try and prevent this, human mistakes can happen. We can only apologise.

Was struggling with my iPhone battery losing power constantly and having to charge it at least twice a day. Popped in to store and the guy managed to switch out the battery for a new one in about five minutes! He did a great job and my phone is as good as new! So glad I found Mobitech! My daughter smashed her Samsung screen and the price I was quoted in meadowhall was so high it left me stunned. I didn't pay much more for the phone! I called into Mobitech and Tim was very friendly. He quoted a significantly lower price and 24 hours later the phone was fixed and looking as good as new (and it's now in a case!!) Thanks Tim. I drive miles to go to Mobitech. I'm from Lincoln and got sick of being ripped off by the Fonedoctor. Mobi use authentic parts and barely charge any more. They are also really knowledgeable and helpful when you're deciding what to do with your problem, often advising against spending money or taking risks when they could just milk you like a cow (like some other phone repair shops) More...

Mobitech had been recommended by a work colleague and I'm so glad I went ! It was a bit out of my way really but I'd rather go somewhere that has been recommended. I went at the end of the working day and they were so helpful , There was an older gentleman in the shop asking quite a few questions about his iPad , but the chap was very thorough and didn't rush him . This is a bit long winded I’m afraid but so was the repair time. I rang MobiTech when my iPad Pro stopped charging. I thought it was the charging port and was told it could be repaired in store. I used the mobile service to save myself the travelling which is a really good idea. After three days I was told it wasn’t the charging port but the battery that was at fault and they would have to order one. A week later it was returned repaired. The battery ran flat in 40 mins and then would not charge again. It was picked up to be repaired again and the same thing happened when I received it back. I was told it must be my chargers or cables but I use genuine Apple chargers and cables and my wife’s iPad and both our iPhones charge fine. They insisted it was working fine when it left them and I was told to bring my cables in to check them when I picked it up after another new battery. When I arrived to pick it up they checked the iPad with one of their cables and it didn’t work. They then said it must be a chip that regulates the charging and battery. Sent away for repair again. A week later I received my iPad back all fine and dandy. Working a treat and at no extra cost due to the length of time it had taken them. I paid £115.00 and it took a month, not great but at least it was fixed. Or so I thought. A month after the repair the screen started to come away from the iPad, rather than return it again I have fitted a hard shell case to clamp it all together and so far it’s still working ok. Also the earphone socket no longer works but I mainly use Bluetooth so I can put up with that as well. There are now also marks on the inside of the screen which is annoying. They are very polite and helpful but that doesn’t make up for the poor repairs and lack of care. All in all a bad experience. More...
