Michael Mackin, founder of MM Fitness, has been into sports and fitness since he was 9 years old; when he first started playing rugby, continuing to play until he was 20 with the London Irish and London Broncos RL. He was introduced to, and received a strength-training regimen from, Andy Flint, the strength and conditioning coach of the New Zealand RL national team.

Life After Rugby

After rugby, Michael went on to a regular desk job, beginning a sedentary lifestyle of office work, then afternoon tea with cake. Reaching 240lbs was his wake-up call which he saw as a challenge, having been into competitive sports before.

But in this case, it was a personal competition of doing his best, being his best and competing with himself. He formulated his own fitness and nutrition regimen that helped him lose 34lbs (going from 240lbs to 206lbs) in a matter of 16 weeks.

His achievement inspired him to continue with MM Fitness, promoting and offering health and fitness training to those with 9 to 5 jobs, introducing exercises in and outside the gym, as well as other leisure/sports activities to achieve health and well being. Now, he helps people lose 10kg in 2 months – pure and honest fat loss with the MM Fitness system.

Personal Mission

MM Fitness is about giving people an alternative to a sedentary lifestyle. Michael’s personal experience in rugby as a sport and profession; his other training, including TRX fitness system; and his sedentary life as an accountant, gave him the experience of what it is like in both worlds. Using this, he formed his personal mission to promote and impart honest fat loss workouts and healthy and maintainable eating habits to people who live a “from office chair to couch/tv lifestyle with tea and cake.” MM Fitness system is for those who want to take on the challenge of losing 10kg in 2 months.

Certifications and Training

Aside from receiving learning from Andy Flint, Michael Mackin also completed training for Personal Trainer and Nutrition Adviser Qualifications levels 2 and 3. He is also a certified TRX instructor. Here is his list of qualifications:

He offers workouts that can be done both at home or in a gym, with awareness of the time constraints for those working 9 to 5 and who have a home life.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

calorie deficit is required to lose fat. But want I find the key to adherence to a diet is what makes it work some people find it easy to follow Keto or Paleo so that diet works for them
What you need to ask yourself is when picking your diet is this a diet you will follow not just for 8 weeks or until you have lost the 10lbs your looking to lose is it something you will be able to follow for the foreseeable future? -
Plans like Slimming World and WW don't guarantee a calorie deficit. -
Make sure your in a calorie deficit when you pick a diet and also ask is this something I can keep up.
I prefer to go for Flexible Dieting - I eat low calories during work and enjoy my foods in the evening when I watch TV etc
This method isn't for everyone so find something that you can adhere to and puts the least amount of restriction on your lifestyle
