Cheap, but a really good gym. Use most mornings before work as it's quiet then.

Lovely gym , got loads of equipments only issue is no enough classes tge classes are the same boring spin, leg bums and tums, no dance classes .. dancing is tge best way to lose weight .. I lost 10 kg dancing, I suggested dance classes to the gym hopefully they will take that on board

The gym is great you can train 24 hours a day the equipment is great and kept up to great standard. The management is poor. I see people walking around all day in various outfits flip-flops barefooted the lot and then I walking in and genuinely ask if I can just wear my jeans for one session as I forgot my tracksuit bottoms and I'm told no. No leeway given at all. Then you're given the same old rubbish rules are rules when you watch rules been broken all day long people not putting the weight back et cetera et cetera. Yeah you can train during the night in a man Keeney if you like because there's no one there to watch. Okay I've had my moan now but let's not have it so one person can do one thing and another person can do another thing. As I said great gym great training. From now on I will just do as I like and not bother to ask and do the right thing well done management idiots

This gym is about as good as it gets for the average gym goer. It's affordable and has all the machines and cardio equipment you could need, for whatever your goals. In addition, it's open 24/7 which is an added bonus.

Unfortunately, since the gym is so popular, at peak times it is virtually impossible to get on any machine without having to wait around. However, if you workout at off peak times then it's not so bad.

Overall the gym is good. Some of the gym members, however, have very little regard for general gym etiquette or the capacity for politeness (e.g. leaving weights on the floor or interrupting your workout mid set/rep). Of course, there is little PureGym can do about this; however, as a warning, this is something that you will have to deal with if you are considering joining this gym.

Very clean and fairly modern gym, equipment is well look after if a little dated, staff are very useful and always on hand during classes and outside of classes to answer any questions you may have, quite expensive compared to some other gym options but has a great atmosphere that drives you to push harder

Equipment is great but it's from the USA so it's catered to non-metric users.
Not worth going if you prefer quiet gyms, always busy unless you go from midnight onwards, better off looking for other gyms.

I have been going since the day it opened and have used Mountbatten and Fitness First gyms. It is a large, clean, and well maintained. If equipment needs repair it is never down for long. It does get busy at times due to the central location for Students and is a cheap membership but being open 24 hours you can always find a quieter time to go. Parking isn't so good as you often have to pay if parking nearby and going during the day.

I used to be a regular at this gym. It is very ideal and fully equipped with practically anything one needs for a standard workout – a plethora of cardio machines, standard weight equipment and a recently developed (and impressive) open-plan free weights area that takes up a third of the ground floor.

However, not only do most of its members not understand gym etiquette (e.g. not wiping down equipment after use, leaving weights lying about on the ground) but also, sadly, it gets insanely busy to the point of repulsion. I remember waiting almost an hour to get onto a squat rack or lifting platform during the evening (~16:00 - 19:00) because the free weights area was impossibly teeming – and again, many members seem to not have the courtesy to at least let you jump in between their sets. In short, if you want any chance of handling free weights especially, you have to visit very early in the morning, between 12:00 and 14:00 and then very late at night. As not all of us have flexible enough time due to other commitments, it's unfeasible to visit during these supposed 'off-peak' times.

Unfortunately, as I'm a gym visitor that likes to just enter, do my workout then exit (with some hygiene awareness and without much delay), I had to take my custom elsewhere, which is a shame because as said, it's a good gym.

All the equipment you could need. Clean and always available almost the perfect gym. Could do with some larger weight plates like 50kgs

Well for a start I found it to not be corporate enough, where was the guy walking around headband and tank top and the women yelling at people through the mic in a zumba class? Also there was not enough treadmills or rowing machines in my opinion. Another thing criticism I have to make about the gym is there was not enough whey protein ad posters around, where were they??? Another problem I had, is where on earth were the men screaming for no apparent reason and then smashing the bar on the floor to see if anyone was mirin, clearly not . Where was the very light blue painted rooms with posters of models which have been lifting for decades but make you believe that you can be like within 1 month. Overall was not impressed, pure gym more like impure.
