I have been using Millennium Dog Walkers for over two years and it is the best dog walking service I have used in Chicago! Heather is very reliable, trustworthy, nice, and communicative. I have used Millennium Dog Walkers for about a year now and my dog absolutely loves his walker, Lucas. Every time that he is walked I receive a photo and a text from his dog walker confirming how the walk went. You select a 2 hour time window that you request your dog walker walk in and usually if is within that 2 hour time frame. Every once in a while they will be a little early or a little late but our walker always texts us and confirms if it will be okay. I am not super specific to the time needed to walk my dog so anytime midday or afternoon is always okay with me. Al offers a free walk every once in a while as well which is always a pleasant surprise and is very understanding and responsive when it comes to answering questions or confirming dates or cancellations. They are very flexible and if you need to cancel the morning of a walk there is no penalty. I have a friend who uses the same walker and if my dog is at their house instead of mine I can just text my walker and let him know he's at his other clients house and he will walk him from there. I've had great experiences with MDW and would definitely recommend them.  Certain areas of Chicago are difficult to find walkers for & MDW has been great, and always made sure to let me know who was walking each day, made sure they knew how to access the building & where to walk, etc. I've had a lot of special requests with my dog for medicine, care, certain times to walk and certain times to avoid, etc.  They have always come through.  They are in steady contact with me while out of town, which is re-assuring, as with other dog walkers & other companies I often feel like a hassle to them texting and getting updates. Absolutely Outstanding.  To say that I am picky and very cautious when it comes to my dogs is an understatement.  Al runs a great business.  From my first meeting with Al, I knew my dogs were in great hands.  I, not only, use the daily dog walking, but also use overnight sitters.  I look forward to my daily text report cards.  Al over communicates when there are changes to dogwalkers and/or the schedule.  It peace of mind knowing that my dogs are well cared for when I am away, but also knowing that my home is in good care.  I highly recommend Al and his service. We've used MDW for several years. They're incredible. Our dog overnight sitter is always reliable and so kind to the dogs. I feel like the dogs are in the best possible hands, and my house too for that matter. Our weekly dog walker is equally great. MDW are simply the best. We rescued our Great Dane/Lab pup and started using MDW within the first 2 weeks of bringing him home. We wanted to leave our pup out of the crate, but didn't trust him being alone while we both work. So, after 2 weeks of him tearing up cushions, blankets, tables and chairs...I called Al and set up the initial appointment. I believe I called on a Tuesday night, he came by on Wednesday night to meet Bear and get a set of keys, and our pup got his first walk on Thursday. Having that 30 minute playtime has made such a difference for our dog. No accidents, no more misbehaving, it was like magic. Honestly I don't know what we would have done without them. Our walker, Pete, is awesome. He gives me an update after every walk, sometimes pictures included, and takes such good care of our pup. Al, the owner, texts me every weekend to see what days we will need a walk, so it's very very easy to schedule. Additionally, I was sick for a couple of days and decided last minute to stay home from work and all I had to do was text my walker to let him know. No cancellation fees. I needed a service that could care for my beloved dog while I travel out-of-town for business 3 nights a week, and I wanted the care-giver to stay at my home, something I don't take lightly.  I spoke with several companies and decided to give Millennium a try based on Al's video, other yelp reviews, and their experience doing overnight care.  Not too many companies can support ongoing overnight care. I have been extremely pleased with Millennium Dog Walkers & Pet Care and highly recommend them for both dog walking services and overnight care.  One of the main reasons for my favorable review is the way that Al Olsen manages the company.  I have learned the hard way that not all pet care services are well run / well managed.  Given the amount of support I need due to my travel schedule there are bound to be a few glitches, but what sets Millennium apart is Al Olsen's professionalism, responsiveness, calm demeanor, and willingness to help.  He understands how important my dog is to me, understands my expectations, and quickly steps up to address those (few) occasions when something doesn't go as I expect.Flexibility is another of Millennium's benefits.  There are no rigid "rules."  Al understands that schedules change, and he is able to accommodate that.   Every week he texts me to confirm the schedule for the next week, and I know I can easily reach him when I need to.  I feel very fortunate to have found Millennium Dog Walkers and its owner, Al Olsen.  I will ALWAYS worry about my dog when he's in someone else's care because he's that important to me, but I believe I have finally found a company and an owner who understands the significance of what they've promised to do and strives to deliver on that promise.  Thank you for that! My husband and I have been using Millennium Dog Walkers for over a year now and we love them! Al, the owner, makes it extremely easy to schedule weekly walks. He consistently contacts us every week to ask what days we will need walks. Our work and school schedule is different week to week and Al is always able to accommodate, even on short notice. I was looking for a dog walker to help me with my pups. I am always working and stressed about my pups. So I decided to contact MDW because a groupon. Who cares for $80 if they will walk your dogs for a month? I do! I call MDW and AL responded to my call. His demeanor and charisma allowed me to trust him immediately. He was able to meet my requests and fulfill my needs without hesitation. On the interview process he came home with a young lady Rebecca they discussed the process and  I just let it roll. Millennium Dog Walkers have been walking and taking care of our two puggles when we're out of town for a few years now and they are AMAZING.  During our last vacation,  Pauline (who is an absolute sweetheart and total dog lover) got locked out of our house with the dogs when our lock suddenly stopped working, so she took our babies to her house to hangout.  Al, the owner of Millennium Dog Walkers, went over to the house to see if he could get the lock working and when he couldn't, brought the puggles to stay with him for the next three days!  Our dogs are our babies and I don't take leaving them with someone else lightly but can honestly say that I know they are loved when we are gone as much as when we are here with Al and his team.  I'd give them ten stars if I could!! I had the pleasure of contacting Al at MDW over a year ago and immediately signed on to have MDW come by for daily walks of my 2 dogs.  It was better than I could have asked for with constant communication from Al and weekly checkin's in addition to the daily reports from the walker letting me know how the dogs were that day and if there were any concerns.I can't recommend this company enough and appreciate all the great work and comfort provided by Al and the crew at MDW.  You can't be the price and you know that your home and dogs are safe in the hands of Al's great team. Millennium Dog Walkers are wonderful! We had Diane stay at our apartment with our two dogs (a westie and a husky) while we were on vacation for a week out of the country. She was so great about keeping us updated on how they were doing by emailing us every day. It really put us at ease knowing that our boys had someone spending time with them and it was great that they didn't have to change their routine. MDW is truly excellent. I have been using them every week for about a year for my two high energy dogs. The walkers at MDW have been incredibly flexible and reliable and Al, the owner is extremely responsive to communication he even checks in every week to confirm our walks because my schedule is inconsistent. They leave you a very cute and thorough report and show up at the times they say they will show up. Just an update about the fabulous people at Millennium Dog Walkers.  We have now had Billy walking our boys for a couple years now with absolutely no problems.  Billy (our walker) and Al are fantastic.  My schedule changes so so so much, and I have never had any difficulties changing our walks even the day of.  I have no doubt they care for my dogs and treat them very well.  I've actually gotten done with work early and bumped into Billy and my boys on the the street, and my dogs are so well-behaved and really like Billy.  As long as I'm in Chicago, I will be a client of Millennium Dog Walkers! My boyfriend and I desperately needed someone to check in on our two cats over the holidays this year and after emailing around to various places, Al was the first person to have a prompt and friendly response - others were either booked, charging rediculous fees, or didn't get back to me for days. Al is incredibly nice and professional and although we didn't get to meet our sitter, he or she left detailed notes of what they had done that day and how our cats were doing. My partner and I just returned from a five day trip to Mexico and are ecstatically thrilled with the pet sitting services from Millennium. We're both new to Chicago and didn't quite know where to turn when it came time to find someone to watch our dog during our time away. With help from research on Yelp, we contacted Millennium Dog Walkers. Al swiftly replied and arranged an initial meeting to walk through the company's services and pricing. We then met Kevin, a pet sitter at Millenium, who was instantly amazing and connected with our pooch during moments of walking in the door. While away on vacation both Al and Kevin kept in contact and we returned to a happy dog who had very obviously had a fun and tiring long weekend of fun! Her toys were scattered so she must've been pretty busy playing.We recommend when you schedule with Al to also ask in advance to schedule a meeting with the pet sitter, if you so desire and he'll accomodate. We're very protective and picky about our dog's care and consider ourselves needy and concerned, so saying that Millennium Pet Care met our expectations is an understatement. More...

We were headed out of town for a week and knew that it was time to finally try out a pet sitter for our baby.  And by baby, I mean cat.  Al came over the week before we left to meet our cat, who instantly warmed up to her.  While we were gone, he sent us a text and an email updating us on her status.  He described his interactions with her, which were completely on point with how she normally acts with us (ie...loves the foil balls,, tries to swipe at the feet when you walk by). I needed a last minute dog sitter and millenium exceeded my expectations. I had one dog sitter who stayed overnight. She came over for me to meet her before the overnight and took notes regarding my instructions. She called me to let me know that she was there and that the dogs were doing well. Also, she was concerned that my flight might be delayed coming back so she asked that I call her in case I am delayed so she could come back.  And, she left my apartment clean - even offered to do the laundry from her towels/sheets. I also had a dog walker come to visit with my dogs twice when I had a day trip for business. She texted me to let me know when she arrived and left a report card. Pricing was reasonable as well. I have been using Millennium Dog Walkers for about a year and have absolutely NO complaints! I was hesitant to allow strangers come into my home unsupervised but when Al came over for the initial visit and consultation, I felt incredibly reassured that him and his walkers are trustworthy. The scheduling is incredibly flexible and accommodating to last minute changes. I especially appreciate the fact that the walkers are consistent as opposed to a different walker every single visit, which I'm sure my pup appreciates as well. If you pick MDW you're going to be working with Al out the gate, who'll take his time to respond to every little request and question quickly, politely, and patiently. Insured and bonded, on time, and priced on par with other walking services.Walkers are on time (unless an emergency happens of course), and always leave a report card.  Frankly, there's something really nice about coming home to a note telling me how sweet my dog is. Millenium dog walkers is quick to respond to requests, and always accomodating when it comes to last minute needs.  The staff is friendly, and professional and they always take the time to leave a note to let you know how your pet behaved during their time sitting.  It is nice to know you can ensure you will not disrupt your pet's life and comfort by uprooting them from their home and placing them in a kennel.  Instead, you can have their friend come and stay the night with them in their own home. I have been using MDW for over 6 months now and they are worth checking out. I have a very inconsistant schedule week to week and they are always very accomodating to me. Virginia is my dog walker and she is so good to my dog. At one point I was completely oblivious to a leg injury my dog had. I just figured he was tired from a weekend stay at the kennel. But Virginia pointed out his injury right away. After my vet diagnosed his injury he had a difficult time walking. Virigina helped nurse him back to health with her visits and short walks with my pup. She took it really easy on him by walking him outside as needed and playing with him inside without aggrevating his injury.   She is also very pleasant to my neighbors when she stops by.  It takes a loyal and caring person to be a dog walker and MDW is definetly a walker I will stay with for years to come. We have worked with Al (the owner) at Millennium Dog Walkers since last fall.  He and one of the walkers, Virginia, have walked our two dogs since then.  Our schedules change often, we appreciate that they accommodate us on very late notice sometimes.  Al is very nice and came to our home for the initial interview, we felt very comfortable handing the keys over and entrusting our two dogs.  We also used their overnight pet-sitting service for five nights and had a great experience.  Highly recommend - we also enjoy that they are local to our Lakeview neighborhood.  From what we understand, Al is a retired professional who found he needed more activity in his retirement.  He knew several industry contacts from his prior career that I also happened to know. We started using Millennium Dog Walkers this winter, when we got the YouSwoop deal, and ended up using their services for several months.  We were extremely pleased with the level of service provided by Al and our walker, Virginia.  Most dog walking services require a minimum number of months and a set weekly schedule, whereas Millennium Dog Walkers did not require a minimum and was very flexible to our ever-changing weekly walk schedule.  We greatly appreciated the weekly email reminders from Al, the reports left after our dog was walked, and all the work Virginia did with our non-dog-social dog - helping her to be better behaved when seeing other dogs on a walk.  We highly recommend using Millennium Dog Walkers! We've been using Millennium Dog Walkers and we couldn't be happier!  Al took his time out to meet with us and answer any questions we had since this was our first time having dog walking services.  The dog walker was kind enough to come over one night on her own time so that she could spend time with our dogs and make sure they got comfortable/familiar with her.  Al is very organized and he makes sure he emails us every Saturday asking for our schedule for the upcoming week.  We are thankful for Millennium Dog Walkers...they make our lives so much easier!  We love coming home everyday to read the report card left behind from the dog walker about how "our kids" did that day! :-) More...

I adopted a dog from Paws somewhat spontaneously and needed an immediate dog walking service.  A friend of mine had youswoops from millennium dog walkers so I decided to try it out.  I only had one issue, early on, due to some poor communication but the owner, Al, definitely showed concern and made up for the issue.  Since then they have been extremely flexible with my schedule if I needed my dog walked at an earlier time or had a last minute cancel.  They always answer the phone and respond quickly.  Every Saturday, Al sends out an email to confirm the walks for the week to follow.  Very easy to work with and am continuing service with them after my swoops expire.
