Martin is a top guy. I have been training with him for over 2 years and having never weight/resistance trained before he was quick to put me at ease. Martin is an awesome PT. He has introduced me to utilising weights to improve my strength and fitness and I’ve never felt stronger and fitter in my life. I had a knee injury when I first went to Martin and he was able to not just work things round the injury but, once the physio had diagnosed what it was, introduce bits into our sessions which actively helped my recovery. I also suffered a repetitive strain injury in my wrist from typing and wasn’t able to do upper body for a while. Martin again was immediately positive about all the things we could still do which kept my fitness levels up. I’m so grateful because these setbacks could’ve derailed me if I hadn’t had Martin’s help and guidance. Today, we were able to do upper body again for the first time in weeks and I’m absolutely buzzing! I’m so glad I’m working with Martin. I’ve been down in the dumps when injured and he’s kept me going and been super patient and understanding. I joined the 5 week programme to shift the additional pounds I blame on lockdown (????). The varied exercise plan got me looking forward to exercising again rather than finding excuses not to. And on those odd days that you decide you won’t do your exercises Martin has this sixth sense of sending you a text right at that moment and asks how you’re getting on... ‘D’oh, just about to do my exercises Martin!!’ But believe me you feel better for doing them, well maybe not the burpees... The nutrition plan was straightforward, I don’t do fussy or over complicated and easy to interchange given daily family pressures. I especially liked the fact that weekends still allowed me a gin or two. Keeping it real was important to me, I may have been inclined to waiver if completely denied some of life’s little pleasures. Martin motivates. He answers all my random questions and has helped to refocus me and my relationship with food and exercise. I’ve followed his plan and put in the effort. What can I say? I stumbled across MCD Fitness on LinkedIn and it was the best random find possible. Having played sports for years, then going to uni and losing all muscle and putting on the pounds - I wasn't happy with myself but had no motivation to exercise. Martin has made it worth while, both the exercise plan and nutrition side of it all. He listened to what I liked and don't like, what I can and can't do and made a plan to suit me. You are challenged enough, but not to the point of wanting to give up. Each time I exercise, I know I can contact him in order to make adjustments or requests and he will take them into consideration. Nutrition wise, I've always been a picky eater and have developed intolerances that don't make it easy for him - but he found meals suitable and that are tasty too!! 100% worth it and would recommend. Martin has been my personal trainer for a year and a half and helped me to reach my goal of running a marathon. Training with Martin has been fun and rewarding, we have never done the same routine twice so I have always been kept on my toes. He is flexible to fit in with my personal schedule and is understanding if I ever need to cancel or reschedule sessions. Really impressed by the service I received, Robert came round within an hour of my call and was very thorough with his checks to try and understand what was causing my computer to keep closing down. I just finished 10 weeks of training with Mark. I lost 25 lbs and got a whole lot stronger. I enjoyed every training session. ...if you love structure/routine then you will really like Mark's training sessions. Mark is a complete gentleman and knows EVERYTHING about strength and conditioning training. If you had a ache at all Mark will go to the ends of the earth to help get you back on track. I finished a warrior programme with Mark and felt fit and healthy , mentally and physically, marks program leaves you ready confident and motivated to continue maintenance without having to join a gym, mark shows you excircises you can do in your own home, As a lady gets older(owch) I hated saying that! ! One puts weight on quicker and loses it slower, also muscles start to sag, not only in the belly but arms, legs etc. Which Mark has researched and studied,and he knows his stuff , Marks programme deals with all these areas and although in the beginning, 'as in the first week' it was hard I found myself looking forward to my workout, so if your considering his programme just do it, worth every penny and I hope to do it again some day, Just one more thing apart from Marks wonderful wisdom and knowledge he has a fantastic manner in which he works , and apart from missing my workouts I certainly miss his cheeky ould face. I signed up for the amazing 12 last January, I had got myself in pretty good shape over the last couple of years but had lost my way a little in the last six months of 2016 . I had got lazy and fell out of the routine of working out I needed something to get me back in the grove and decided this was it. Mark is v easy to work with he will push you but in a good way. He never pushes you beyond you comfort zone and at times was the one holding me back as I felt I could do more ,i quickly realised as the program progressed he was right. The principles of the program are pretty straight forward and the nutrition is just common sense no calorie counting and Sunday fun day eat what you want when u want. I would highly recommend the program and Marks excellent coaching. The results speak for themselves but the best thing I have got from the program personally is that after 12 weeks, working out has become a habit again for me, I don't even think about it's just part of my routine. I have just finished the Warrior 8 Program with Mark and I am absolutely delighted with the results. After having a baby and falling into very bad eating habits whilst on maternity leave, I tried losing weight by going to exercise classes and running but was getting nowhere. In just 8 weeks with Mark, even after missing 3 training sessions due to unforeseen circumstances I still managed to lose 1 stone, lose 10 inches from my body, lower my percentage body fat and seriously increase my fitness and strength. I have noticed a big change in my clothes, my mood is so much better, my energy levels and confidence have really increased, I’m sleeping so much better and I am just so much happier in general. I have attended numerous fitness classes over the years and I can honestly say that the Warrior 8 Program was like nothing I have ever done before and was definitely the most enjoyable. It was really amazing seeing how much my strength increased week by week and being able to lift weights that I never imagined I would be able to. Mark is a wonderful coach and such a genuinely nice and down to earth person, I really could not recommend him highly enough. He has so much fitness and training knowledge and he is very passionate about his profession. I learned so much from him and he always took the extra time to explain different techniques and give suggestions for things I could do at home after the program had finished. Mark was constantly ensuring that I did every exercise 100% correctly to make it as effective as possible and also to avoid injury. The one thing that really surprised me about the program was that I never left a class feeling exhausted, and I never had an ache anywhere in the 8 weeks. Whilst you work very hard in the classes, Mark is passionate about the fact that you don’t have to leave the class crawling on your hands and knees, and he focuses on increasing your comfort zone rather than pushing you over it. I thoroughly enjoyed the 8 weeks, so much so that I have signed up again for April. Over the last 8 weeks doing the Training For Warriors program I have lost a serious amount and gained more muscle than I have done in recent years thanks to Mark, doing this program has a serious amount to offer in fitness and strength I would seriously recommend this program to anyone as it has can help you get gauranted serious results in such a short amount of time if that would normally take years Training For Warriors is the program to go to and to get good advice, hopefully I will get to do it again in the new year to achieve more than I have achieved the first time.

Training for warriors ..do not b under any illusion that this is a handy exercise class, b prepared for an hour of hard work - in every class, coming out tinkn will I make it home!
