I visited as the make-up artist for a wedding that took place on 19.07.19. The staff were so friendly on arrival and gave me an umbrella to take with me to the cottage as (typically) the heavens opened up just as I arrived. We got married at Kingscote Barn in June. It was fantastic. From the first day that we visited 18 months ago the staff were helpful and accommodating. On the day everything ran like clockwork with Juliette on hand to help. The venue is gorgeous. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting for our wedding day.The only reason I'm not giving Kingscote five stars is the accommodation. What they have is excellent but it would have been nice to accommodate more of our guests on site. The glamping firm Kingscote is partnered with is incredibly expensive so none of our guests opted for it. That is my only quibble and it wouldn't put me off getting married here. More...

McBaile did the catering for our daughter, Charlotte and her now husband, Chris’ wedding at Kingscote on Saturday 6th July 2019. We had canapés with drinks, a three course sit down meal and evening supper. All of which were just fabulous. We had lots of compliments on the day and since. We chose and booked McBaile after attending an Open Day at Kingscote. Abi was our main focal point, who was with us for our tasting session and was also with us on the day and helped us throughout. Also thanks to all the young waiters and waitresses too who were were friendly to us and all our guests! The whole team at McBaile, especially Lisa Marie, Naomi and Abi were great to deal with, and dealt with our numerous phone calls and worries reassuringly! I cannot recommend Kingscote Barn enough. Beautiful setting, so lovely to deal with and the most WONDERFUL helpful team. They helped so much in making our wedding the best day of our lives. It was everything we could have imagined and more. I will never forget how special they made us feel, I want to do it all over again and wouldn't change the venue even if I had 20 million pounds!! We were absolutely bowled over by the exceptional service received from our wedding co-ordinator Lauren and the rest of the team at the Kingscote Barn. They were so helpful to guide us all the way from our first visit to our wedding day itself.We received prompt response to the many queries we sent their way and they provided excellent advice and recommendations when it come to timings, decor, favours, catering, entertainment etc. They gave us every confidence that our wedding day would run smoothly as planned. On the day, Lauren was there to calm the last minute nerves and assist with anything that we needed.We also so incredibly happy that we chose the Kingscote Barn as our wedding venue. Beautiful wedding venue, set in gorgeous countryside. Delightful hall, used for the civil service and the reception. Food was delicious - and excellent. Place was clean and safe for children to play. Went for a friends wedding, the weather was perfect and the day was great. Had lots to keep the little ones entertained and the adults too . McBaile did the catering for our wedding and it was faultless! The staff were fantastic on the day, massive credit to Gemma who organised it all perfectly and arranged for pizza to be left in the bridal suite for me at the end of the night as I was too full to eat anything during the evening reception!! Went here for a wedding a couple of weeks ago. Gorgeous venue....lovely building and fabulous views. we were lucky that the weather was good so the wedding could be outside. ..and it was lovely, initimate and romantic. The drinks reception was also outside and then we had the wedding breakfast inside. tea and coffee was open to the foyer and outside and then for the party either inside or outside. the staff were great and very professional. If thinking of having a venue here...as long as they can fit your numbers it is a lovely place to have your wedding and from what I understood they were great with the planning the whole way through. Beautiful place, superb venue for Weddings but the Glamping was overpriced and really disapointing, at best it was just a smallish tent with an inflatable mattress that was too small, for £100 a night!
