Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a deep tissue treatment aimed at the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, tendons and ligaments. In a sporting context sports massage is used as an injury prevention tool and to help aid recovery. It should be an essential part of any athletes training programme to aid recovery, improve performance, help prevent injury, and prolong your sporting career. However, you do not need to be a sports performer to benefit from sports massage. The benefits of regular sports massage can help relieve the many day to day problems that everyone experiences such as, repetitive strain injury, poor posture, tension, muscle imbalances, and fatigue, but also to anybody wishing to guard against or recover from a soft tissue injury. The technique of sports massage has many associated benefits that combat the issues mentioned above and we ensure effective and efficient results are gained from each massage given. Sports massage has been shown to: Improve circulation and lymphatic flow Assist in the removal of metabolic waste & swelling Sedate or stimulate nerve endings Relieve general aches and pains Increase or decrease muscle tone Increase or decrease muscle length Remodel scar tissue when required Assist in mental preparation for sporting participation Improve recovery and decrease delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) I provide: 30 minute (£30) 45 minute (£40) 60 minute (£45)
