What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I don't think its a secret that being in the right place at the right time plays a massive part in capturing a great photo, but for me creativity in the photographers method is what can make a photo become something that not only captures emotion but creates it.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I want to get to know the customer in order to get an insight into their vision for the wedding, asking questions about their interests and hobbies is a starting point for me, moving on to questions that are more targeted. Such as what colours, styles and even designs do they like, through to questions about their favourite photos they have seen (magazines, websites, facebook, instagram etc) and taken themselves. This gives me a more clear relationship with the customer, meaning i can take photos that not only hold important memories, but also ones that they love aesthetically.
What do you love most about your job?
I love being able to produce photos that portray the wedding moments at their most honest and natural, seeing the result of this in the customers faces and reactions to the photos is what really makes me feel happy with the service i provide.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always been one to want to start a business I can be proud of and be self sufficient, making my own decisions, creating my own style and simply loving my work are the main reasons what made me want to start my own business.
Why should our clients choose you?
My style is the main reason you may want to choose my service, i love textures, i love black and white and i love emotional, story telling photos that people can love. My photo service is very laid back, I stay out of the way and let you enjoy the day, I'm not pushy and I am flexible in timing, location and the style of my photography. If you want a photo with love hearts in it, a certain prop or certain poses that's not a problem, I urge people to be creative for a small part of the day, because these are the images that will make you happy, laugh and wish you had captured at the time looking back.
