Like so many other students, I was frustrated and impatient over the years with inefficient instructors and fruitless attempts at self-teaching from every manual and "system" out there. George has given me a new found motivation in my quest to master the guitar and music theory with his incredible patience and knowledge. He is amazingly talented as both an instructor and performer who knows how to transfer his knowledge to his students to keep them engaged and enjoying each lesson! More...

Being a passionate person for music, I started guitar when I was 22 years old, spending years trying to self-teach, to no gains. At the later age of 26 I realized I needed a teacher. I invested the past year with one and just wasn't learning at a motivating pace with him and his method was holding me back by keeping me tied into basics that weren't giving me foundation or moving me to my goals. That entire year I only learned barred chords, minor pentatonic shapes and basic note reading. Now at 27, I found Maestro Melody and have been a student for only 3 weeks with George. In this time, I have learned at an exceptional pace doing one on one with George through skype. I can actually have fun on the fret board while learning, even when not in session with George, because of his very tailored approach on individual students. I take what he gives me and I expand with it, letting light bulbs go off in my mind each day. My hand and foot coordination and rhythm as well as fret board knowledge is all coming together faster than I even thought could be possible. I don't know what can't be done when it comes to learning with George. He takes his students seriously and listens to them while guiding them in the direction they are personally aiming in. I can't believe I've learned more in 3 weeks with George than I have in a whole year with my previous teacher. George is excellent and very friendly and personable. He sees beyond simply teaching his students and makes it a fun journey. I play every day for at least 3 hours now and can't put it down. Before I started with George i was going through doubts and issues staying motivated. Now I'm addicted and can't get enough! More...

George at Maestro Melody is truly a one of a kind teacher and guitarist. As his daughter, I grew up watching his ardent passion for music come through in every single time he practiced, in every recording session and in every gig - even when he played the same song a hundred times. The first two years of my life were spent travelling around from state to state on gigs, and my appreciation of music began developing at this time. My dad spent countless hours trying different things in an effort to perfect his art, and began teaching me piano at four years of age. At 14 years, two friends and I decided to take up the guitar after being inspired by the skill and tireless motivation that we saw in my dad. He had always taught music, but actually being his students opened a whole new plethora of opportunity for us. We started at ground zero, and were playing gigs at six or seven months in. My friends and I could all play lead, rhythm and bass, compose our own songs and learned how to effectively entertain and grasp our audience's attention. George has the unique ability to understand every one of his students as individuals, and is very insightful when it comes to most effectively getting them from their starting level of knowledge to their ultimate aspirations as a musician and guitarist. He is incredibly passionate, motivational, inspirational and realistic. If you are a guitarist seeking the most direct route from point A to B, Maestro Melody is your go to! More...

George truly has a gift for teaching! After several years of learning music on the piano, first with a teacher who taught me how to play songs in a basic fashion and then with a teacher who emphasized reading and finger exercises (grueling! ), I realized that I still couldn't accompany myself and that I still didn't understand how music works. I joined a beginner guitar group in my neighborhood with George as our instructor. We are learning scales, songs, music notation, timing, modes, ear training, and music theory --and it's only been four months! We have a lot of fun and we ALREADY sound good! George sends us motivating tips via text and email between lessons and recordings that we can practice with. Music has a system and learning it can be rewarding and a lot of fun if you have the right instructor. George is a dedicated, accomplished musician who always performs in excellence --not only in his music, but in that of his students. You will truly save yourself a lot of time and money (and frustration!) if you study with George! :D More...
