I provide bording for cats & dogs. I no longer have my own pets but i did have a staff & a ginger Tom, the cat was the boss & more intelligent. It's rare I'm asked to look after a cat & dog but in a the holidays it can happen.
The cats have there own spaces that are separated by baby gates with cat flaps in. In my experience dogs chase cats because they run & chasing something down is fun. When the cat realises there's nothing to be frightened of (dogs normaly come off worse) then they come into the living room. It's quite funny because 9/10 the cat is behind the curtain & the dog has no idea. I have cat toys, i buy treats but if there's something in particular they like send it with there bed. I love cats, i bought my ginger Tom when i was about 20 & he lived to be 22, sadly he was hit by a car rather than being at home & dieing of old age.
