What do you love most about your job?
I am always excited to hear new ideas from you, my customers. I put a lot of thought and research into every single cake cupcake and patisserie order just for you. My favourite part of the process is the decoration of my tartlets. It is not easy but it is very impressive to bring your dream vision into the light. While there are many stages in creating the perfect cake, my favourite part has to be seeing the real enthusiastic and delighted expressions on each face as I present you with the finished product of the cake you wished for.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I think it all started a long time ago when I started to bake birthday cakes for every child and for my husband.
And then I got requests from extended family so I started to bake for them as well. Whenever it was someone's birthday or any other occasion I baked a cake for them. Over time it became my hobby. Step by step I became better at certain things and also started to study some methods and read about them.
Why should our clients choose you?
I’d say to have a bite (laugh). It’s about listening to people. But not only. I have a friend who ordered a cake from me. It was a cross shaped cake for her son on his first holy communion. She wanted chocolate sponge dough, chocolate filling cream and chocolate glaze with smarties around the rim of the cake. She said her son loves chocolate. I made it just as she wanted although it’s usual to make a white cake for such occasion. Afterwards she said that every time when they had a party and she bought a cake from a grocery store there was always enough left at the end for people to take home. But this time the cake was eaten immediately and she didn’t have a piece for them to take home. She said it was so tasty they ate it all at once (laugh). She ordered another three or four cakes from me straight away .
