Our wedding ceremony and reception at Live Wire were amazing - it was everything we could have ever hoped for! We worked with them for a year leading up to the wedding to plan it all out, and Erin was so helpful and easy to communicate with. The place looked amazing for the wedding, and the coordinator and bartenders were all great. They checked in with us through out the night to make sure we had everything we needed and we're happy with the night. I would highly recommend them for a wedding! More...

I have attended events at Live Wire previously and also met with Erin, the event manager for my own event. My experiences on both accounts were great and Erin was super accommodating for what our group needed! 5 millions stars. Live Wire is such a lovely Athens staple. The patio is overflowing with lush greenery. Inside, the skylights and wide open windows fill the main room with bright light. I love how they utilize mason jars for their delicious beverages. The owners are an absolute pleasure to work with and the whole staff is impressively prepared for any production and event needs. We used Live Wire for our Sorority's Parent Weekend and it was beyond perfect!! Even though we made constant changes to the event/set up on our end, the staff was beyond accommodating. Day of the event, the staff went above and beyond again! From unloading my car, to hanging a banner, to beautifully arranging a dessert table, they were happy to do it all! Live Wire Athens was our venue for our wedding. This place was a very good size for our list of 120-130 guest. The exposed brick and barn doors added a homey feel while still feeling formal enough for our more “particular” guests. We were even able to have a fire pit and hot chocolate bar in the courtyard for our Winter Wonderland. They also have a parking space for a food truck and the most gorgeous string lights around! I can't say enough good things about Live Wire Athens. If I could give them more than 5 stars in each category, I would. Live Wire was the first venue we visited after getting engaged, and after leaving that day, we didn't bother looking at any others - we were in love! Andrew and the rest of the Robertson family were incredible throughout the wedding planning process. He stayed in constant communication with us, checking in often with updates. He offered many great suggestions for vendors and worked with them directly to help take some items off our plate. He listened to our ideas and desires and made sure that they happened. He made my fiance and I feel calm throughout the entire process. Overall, I don't think there is a better event coordinator in Athens than Andrew. We had numerous guests come to us during/after the wedding to tell us how much they enjoyed the venue. We were extremely satisfied with Live Wire Athens and highly recommend them to any couple looking to get married in Downtown Athens. More...

We hosted a dance here for about 150 guests in December. We worked with Erin as our event planner. I found her to be extremely helpful in the event planning, flexible, and able to anticipate our needs and make helpful suggestions. LWA was able to meet all of our needs beyond expectations. The staff at the event were also cordial and helpful, making themselves as available as possible. The venue itself is a great piece of post-industrial work (?) with lots of wood accents and great lighting. I think this would also be a great spot to have a reception, party, or host a small private concert. I would gladly do business here again. More...

I needed a venue to host a surprise birthday party for my wife. I thought Live Wire was probably too big or more than I could do. I contacted them anyway, and met with Andrew soon after to describe what I was trying to do and see if there were any possibilities. Andrew not only went out of his way to help put a package together to make it work, but came across as genuinely excited about the event and made the whole experience fantastic. The event itself went off without a hitch, and was a huge success, largely due to the work and attitude of Andrew and staff. The space itself is amazing. Full bar, great tap list of local beers, and tv's including a projector screen. The sound in the stage area is, in my opinion, the best in Athens. I just want to start off by saying that if you need a place for an event with a large group of people, this is the place for you. We planned a sorority event here for our seniors, and everyone absolutely LOVED it. The staff was so easy to work with even when we weren't. When we began planning our event here, we didn't know exactly what we wanted to do with the event, yet the staff continued to check-in with us, and make sure that our event was going to be perfect. On the day of the event everything was set up for us just as we had planned, the staff made sure that everything went smoothly, and the stage was the BEST part of the night! What do you love most about your job?
We have been blessed to throw events for a living: concerts, weddings, corporate conferences, holiday parties, student based events, fundraisers. Who wouldn't love that?
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our father encouraged us to start a business doing something we loved. It began as a A/V production company based out of his garage. From there, we have thrown multiple festivals, opened up multiple venues and expanded our services much further than any of us ever anticipated.

The Robertson siblings ages range between 30-40 years old, boasting 70+ years experience in the hospitality and event industries.
