We have been to this reataurant  twice the first visit fell short but after a conversation with the manager and a gift card.  We returned.  The second visit was great attentive service and the food we tried was delicious.  My wife had the roast chicken and i had the strip steak.  The steak in my opinion should come with mashed potatoes instead of fries but it was tender flavorful and cooked perdect the way Requested..  This is definitely one of the better places in town.  Come and try it for yourself More...

Greet location with a restaurant and bar side. We ate in the bar.We went for happy hour and it wasn't overly busy. The food was good, but what really stands out is the service from our waiter.  Our waiter gave us suggestions and answered all our questions.  The beverages were good as well and since it was happy hour, prices were reduced. Seated quickly, service was average but got better as the meal progressed. Prime Rib on Tuesday is a well known thing we were told so decided to try it. Trio is vibing on Saturday nights!  The ambience is loud and bright, and the servers are fantastic.  I ordered the fabulous Hemingway cocktail ($14) and salmon with jasmine rice ($28).  Initially, the food tasted blandand overcooked, but after I added a dash of salt, the flavors emerged, and I polished off the whole dish.  My coworkers didn't enjoy their entrees but said the french fries were delicious.  Kiss the bartenders and servers because the cocktails and service get 5 stars while the food gets 3. We lucked out! It was a coincidence that we were celebrating our anniversary and they had balloons up at the front. We loved it and took photos, like they were for us. Awesome photo op! The hostess humored us and was so accommodating. When our table was shown, we were pleasantly surprised by the little touches. When I made the reservation, I had mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. They sprinkled colorful anniversary-themed confetti all over the table. And there was even a handwritten card. Little things like that really make my day. Just so thoughtful on their part! So I was already impressed and in a good mood before the food arrived. Oh and we had the nicest server, Jay. He literally bowed before leaving our table and kept coming back to check if we needed anything. Per his suggestion, I had the forever Marilyn cocktail. Mmm so good! If you like sweet yummy drinks, this is a must. I was afraid it would be too sugary but it was just perfect. My husband's drink was the Hemingway and he loved it. After perusing the menu, I settled on the sole entree. It was the best sole I've ever had - so tender and flavorful. The couscous that came with it had a great chewy texture and tasted great as well. The hubby went with the talked up fish special and there was nothing really special about it. This was one of those places that looked way bigger in the Yelp photos than in real life. Atmosphere and energy in this place was amazing. Chose this restaurant because of its reviews and it didn't disappoint. I had mixed feelings going into this place since they had such a large menu, but it was better than I thought it would be. The inside here is decorated orange, which matched the bright orange sun hat I had picked up from the Aperol stand at Pride that weekend. You need to be in the mood for that bright color! We came here for brunch. I only got an espresso martini as I was still full from my last meal. It was pretty good - a standard, sweet coffee boozey drink. I did taste my friends' foods. They had a chicken sandwich, steak and eggs, and the chilaquiles with shredded chicken. The steak and eggs was actually quite good - the beef was marinated like korean bolgigi beef, tender and easy to eat. I would get that if I were to come back. Stellar service. Food was pretty good and came out quickly. Great for groups. Lively atmosphere full of 20-30 somethings.Went here as part of a bachelorette party weekend . Many other tables were full of girl groups or guy groups, with a handful of people on dates.Had the scallops which were surprisingly really well cooked/cleaned, and also tasty with the risotto.  Their appetizers were meh, but not bad.The servers were SO nice, accommodating, and friendly. Our bachelorette passed out from too much alcohol (whoops), and one of the servers was kind enough to offer a pillow and also dim the lights for us. They're used to big groups, and we weren't the only bachelorette party there.While Palm Springs is definitely not my cup of tea (way too hot, and when we visited the city was overrun with black bugs (literally, even on the shelves in Walgreens) that apparently came because the city got too much rain that year), if I'm ever back, I will definitely return to Trio. Great rec from a friend and was so glad we got the chance to enjoy their prefixe menu with so many choices!  We tried the dates wrapped with bacon and the seafood cocktail with chips for appetizers. For main course we had the hanger steak rare with crispy fries and the Australian sole over Israeli grains which were nicely done. And for dessert we tried the bread pudding and brownie. One of my top five dinner spots in Palm Springs!I absolutely love the ambiance, food, and service here. My favorite food item on the menu is the meatloaf. My wife absolutely loves the lamb. They also have delicious cocktails. If there's a style of drink you enjoy and you don't see it on the menu, as your server and they can offer recommendations.Parking is ample as they have a private lot behind the restaurant. In addition to the excellent food, I need to rave about our server, Dominic. Unfortunately our trip to Palm Springs was for a very sad reason: my significant other and the father of our 8yo suffered a cardiac arrest while attending a nearby festival and spent several days on life support before passing away at Desert Regional in Oct 3. We tried to take our last evening amidst the beauty of Palm Springs to celebrate Dave's life with a lovely dinner. My daughter was struggling a bit and I took her outside. By way of explanation we alerted Dominic to our circumstances. Minutes later, a Shirley Temple loaded with maraschino cherries appeared in front of her. Despite our attempts at good cheer, another of our party was feeling the urgent need to get back to the hotel and rest toward the end of our delicious meal. Dominic had already arranged for desserts to be brought to the table; seeing that my daughter was overwhelmed by being asked to make choices, he just planned to bring one of everything for the table. Instead, he boxed it all up -- with loads of cherries -- and we ate it for breakfast the next day. Of all the stellar dining experiences of my lifetime, most of which were with Dave -- our first date at Rat's in Hamilton NJ, where he requested a menu with no prices for me, the restaurant at the Bill Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas, and others -- I can truly say, no service has ever touched my heart like this. Great discovery... We were on the way back from the Joshua Tree National Park and we were not sure where to eat.  I found this place and I became my favorite place in the city.  The options, the decor, the ambience.  I came around 6:30 and I found out they had a $23 dollar fixed menu that included an Appy, a main dish and desert.  The happy hour included beers, well drinks, and wine .  It was worth to mb have waited all day for a decent meal.  If you are in this part of the world..come to this restaurant and share my experience.  You will agree with me. Out of towner here. I love vacationing in Palm Springs and I love trying to restaurants. Trio has the cutest most vibrant atmosphere. The waiters are the friendliest, most attentive I've ever seen. The food is prepared quickly, but always delicious. I had the salmon filet and my wife had the chicken Marsala. Both were great. Were in Palm Springs and looking for brunch on Sunday. Opened yelp and found trio restaurant. We were able to get in without reservations. Service was fabulous and food was extraordinary. We created our three course meal from the prix fixed menu. I had Caesar salad with option to include anchovies, rigatoni and sausage, and ice cream sundae. I ordered two carnitas tacos and a cadillac margarita and was in Palm Springs heaven. I sat at the bar and there were two bartenders that took great care of me and made strong concoctions that made me sad to leave. It wasn't too crowded and all of the patrons were super nice and easy to talk to. Trio is a medium sized bar/restaurant with plenty of room to move around, but small enough to feel cozy and have an intimate lunch or dinner with friends. I especially loved the artsy entrance in the parking lot, the food and the music playing at just the right volume in the background. Thank you Trio for making my birthday weekend so special! The Host Lori accommodated my husband and I last minute on a Friday night only for our amazing waitress Kelly to take such very good care of us! We can't thank the manager Amber more for treating us with their perfect creme brûlée for my birthday!!! Also of note the pot of butterscotch is to DIE FOR! There is a reason this place is always busy and it's been around... it's because service is clearly important to them! We had dinner here twice due to deliciousness of the food! We ordered the rib eye with cream spinach and mashed potatoes. Also, the pot roast with mashed potatoes . We added the special salad of the day- arugula with feta cheese, pecans, cranberries, and grilled peaches. DELICIOUS! Flavorful and cooked to perfection! Very hip and chic dinner spot (their brunch looks good too but haven't been yet). Customer service was great. Host was very friendly, bus boys attentive and water was refilled constantly, and our server was extremely nice. Our server offered to provide us recommendations for any happenings or restaurants around the area for the week. We had told him we were just visiting from about 45 mins away, but he gladly provided a suggestion for a nightcap. He was awesome all the way - wish I had remembered his name.To start we ordered the ahi tacos (4). Not amazing, but they were good. I would try something else next time. My husband ordered the skirt steak (really excited for it bc it was a Harris Ranch steak lol). It was great and the sauce for the fries was delish. However, the chimichurri needed something else to elevate it. He ordered a mezcal cocktail - tasted like an old fashioned but with mezcal. It was alright. Hands down, some of the best service I have ever experienced. Everyone is happy and helpful to all guests, and seem very genuine. I was dining alone and sat outside at a high top. Misters going, it was lovely. Hunter was my fabulous server - he was knowledgeable, patient and fun to talk to. Hats off to him, the manager (Forrest?), Marie and all of the staff.Food: loved the date appie - you can order 3 or 5 (also on happy hour). Delish and VERY RICH. Homemade potato chips and house-made dipping sauce. Fabulous wedge (also on HH). This was my 2nd visit, and I will come again. The HH is one of the best and lasts until 7pm.
