What a treat to have been a guest at a Feast that Maja created recently!  She is so creative with her presentation and herbal flavorings. Everything was beautiful and fresh,fresh, fresh! From the Spring rolls that we learned how to make, the green papaya salad with fresh greens and cashews , steamed Mahi mahi sachets in ti leaves seasoned with a choice of tumeric,onions, ginger,chili,basil etc., the cream roasted Molokai sweet potatoes and ending with a lime soufflé topped with fresh berries! It was definitely one of the most delicious meals I've had recently and plan to ask her to create another feast for my Family soon. More...

Our special Thai birthday dinner  was fresh, fun, tasty,  and so beautifully presented.  Our small group all had a good time participating in making some of the Thai summer rolls and ti leaf mahi packets with chef Maja explaining the many herbs and seasonings we could use.  The roasted veggies and green papaya salad were a perfect accompaniment for the dinner. As a birthday present, my daughter gave me and four of my mahjongg buddies a Thai themed dinner with Maja. Not having any previous knowledge or experience with her work, we were utterly and delightfully surprised. Each dish was exceptional. We started with spring rolls which we assembled, followed by a poke with a hint of coconut, green papaya salad with fresh beans and tomatoes, a grilled vegetable platter that included a delicious purple sweet potato dish. The main course was a lovely fresh piece of mahimahi for each of us that we seasoned, wrapped in ti leaves and steamed. The finale was individual lemon shuffles with  coconut cream.Maja and her daughter who helped, could not have been more accommodating  (even with the mask thing!), professional, and delightful. We hired Maja to help us mark a milestone birthday celebration for my husband. She came to our home and created the most beautiful and delicious meal. My teenage sons, husband, and I ate every single morsel! She's not only skilled and talented but also very creative with her food combinations and plating. All the food tasted delicious and looked gorgeous. Our meal started with a pupu of buttery, mouthwatering Ahi Tuna Tartare and capers. Then she served a Spring Mix Salad (freshly picked that morning) drizzled with a meyer lemon dressing, garlic oil, balsamic reduction and topped with grilled avocado, pine nuts, and sourdough croutons. The entree: Crudite of fresh, flavorful Grilled Vegetables, perfectly Grilled Halibut in a yummy sauce - so moist and tasty - and Coconut Molokai Purple Sweet Potatoes. And yes, there was the dessert - an exquisite Tahitian Lime Soufflé with coconut creme sauce and lemon caviar. Omg so delicious! We're still talking about this meal. Maja herself is so positive and easy going. It's evident she's a food lover and has so much excitement for her craft. She truly has a gift for feeding people scrumptious food. We had Maja and her team do our wedding and there were about 40ish people. Maja usually does smaller parties but she has exceeded every expectation of ours. Everyone gave compliments to our food, and I mean everyone!! They all said those are the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The filet mignon was my favorite while my in-law loved the mac nut/coconut crusted fresh catch.Maja is super nice and is very easy to work with. She is accommodative and her suggestions are super helpful~ It was a destination wedding so I was mainly deciding things based on pictures. She volunteered to make a site visit at the venue, saved me lots of trouble and I can't be thankful enough. She even helped me to find a coordinator and bartender.I would definitely love to have her food again when we go back to Maui next time :D More...

Chef Maya has been cooking for our ladies getaway in Costa Rica for the whole week. We enjoyed her vibe and cuisine so much! Chef Maja was OUTSTANDING! We were renting a house on Maui for my Birthday and was lucky enough to stumble upon Chef Maja and Lilikoi Creations. From the 1st course to trying to find room to finish dessert, everything exceeded my expectations.The two passed appetizers were light and delicious, The Tuna Chips are a MUST! I could have eaten them for all 5+ courses! Our goat cheese salad was a great prelude to the surf and turf that we were having for an entree. The night finished with a chocolate bread pudding with bananas foster and a local gelato. Everyone in our group would not stop raving the rest of the vacation and we could not have been happier with the entire night thanks to Chef Maja. Thank you again! TJ More...

I hired Chef Maja for my 40th birthday party...and I am so glad I did!!  She went above and beyond my party dreams.  She hit the trifecta of what makes a great party. 1. The food was off the charts, all my friends were wowed by the taste and presentation. 2. She and her staff were fast, efficient, friendly, fun and very professional without being annoying. 3. She worked with my budget and made it happen.  Having never hired a private chef I was a little nervous about what to expect, but as soon as they arrived (on time) and started setting up their kitchen and the party platters.  I was instantly put at ease and I enjoyed my own party! I'm usually stressed as I'm a little type A and I want things to look just perfect. I absolutely would hire Chef Maja again.  I wish I could have some of those handmade crab cakes now! More...

We had a large group for a birthday party and Maya came to our house to cook for us.  Let me tell you how impressed we were.  She presented several appetizers (shrimp crisps, tuna, etc), main course of beef and opah (surf & turf) as well as a bananas foster/gelato dessert. Chef Maja was fabulous!  She came to our unit and did a 4 hour cooking clinic for my 10 year old daughter and together they prepared a feast of epic proportions.  From fresh island fish to farm-fresh vegetables and awesome meats.  It was a great experience for our entire family and Chef Maja is a burst of energy.  We all had a wonderful time and I can highly recommend her to you and your family for any such private cooking experience.  Mahalo Chef Maja! Went to Maui for short family vacation and decided to treat ourselves to a personal chef one night.  Having Maja custom create a menu with island fare, and with the freshest of ingredients was a treat far and above our expectations.   Every dish was incredibly creative and special;  From the Lilikoi Beurre Blanc on the fish to the Pavlova dessert complete with fresh berries and mint - everything Maja cooked for us was beyond delicious and totally top notch.  The icing on the cake (so the speak) was getting to know Maja herself.   The utmost professional, fun and congenial gal - clearly also so talented in the kitchen - created a night for us we will not forget!   We wish we could've taken her home in our suitcase!  Cant wait to come back to Maui just to hire Lilikoi Catering again!
