We went with L and E after a long chat with a friend who had previously had a good experience, we liked Tony when he came round, as he seemed very calm and professional and can honestly say we were pleased with the final outcome. The best feature is the roof light which turned out better than we expected and has changed the experience of being in the room. Our bungalow needed extending and as we had received recommendations from a couple of friends,we approached L&E. Happily the work went well and was completed within schedule and to our complete satisfaction. Their hands on involvement with the drawings and ongoing liaison with the local council was greatly appreciated and I was impressed by their staged payment plan, the 10year guarantee and especially by the work ethic and professionalism of the team allocated to our project. We now have the bungalow we wanted with a large en suite bedroom, downstairs shower room, extended kitchen and new roof.

Total house renovation throughout and extension at the back. L&E helped to get the look we were hoping for and provided their expertise and advice where it mattered. Not only did we get to work with a great building team they also put us in touch with plumbers, electricians and decorators which made it easy for us and the building team. We used L&E (Don't move, extend) in 2015 for a loft conversion and new rear extension to our home. Out of all the quotes we obtained L&E gave us the most detailed scope of work so we knew, by room, what we were getting. Their price was competitive and fair, and did not change. The payment schedule was broken into small milestone payments which allowed us to pay once work had been completed rather than large lump sum payments. Our team were efficient completing all the work in 10 weeks. They were neat and tidy and very considerate as I was pregnant and at home with a 2 year old throughout the build. I am absolutely loving my loft conversion! We have changed half of our 1870's cottage in Twickenham. The back bedroom and bathroom have been swapped around – a much better design and the second stairs up to the top loft bedroom and spare room look fantastic. As the cottage was bit dark leading up the stairs, we had a huge window put into the side of the house which now spills loads of light, making the upstairs feel much more lighter and bigger. L&E transformed our home last year, adding a large rear extension and changing the entire ground floor layout. Estimates were competitive and all costs and additions tracked carefully. The team managed by Laszlo were highly skilled and hard working, and always polite and tidy, taking pride in their work. L+E have undertaken two projects on our house: the first was a rear 2 story extension and extensive internal renovation/alterations (new baths+ kitchen, underfloor heating etc). the work was carried out to an exceptional standard, and our Architect said he had never seen such a tiny "snagging" list (4 items). The builders were very helpful and friendly, even cladding our temporary accommodation in extra insulation as cold weather was forecast. We had no hesitation in asking L+E to return 3 years later to undertake the remaining building work, a two storey front extension with bathroom. L&E built a new kitchen/ side return extension to our terraced house. Essentially they put you in touch with an architect and set of builders and then step back. Our builders couldn't have been better and we were extremely satisfied with the results. Nothing was too much bother for them and they always came up with satisfactory solutions to the inevitable small problems that the build produced.
However, we oversaw the project ourselves, L&E not wishing to be involved in any of the day to day stuff.
The price was good and the build came in on time and on budget.

I cannot recommend them enough! They were brilliant from start to finish.
We met Tony initially who made things so easy and clear for us. and then Andrew and his team did the building work. They were amazing.
They were very accomodating and even set up a temporary kitchen and decided the building site so the kids would not be able to access it and the dust was kept to a minimum.
Andrew and his team were always asking if we we're happy and always provide us with updates on how things were progressing.
They were on schedule and we were on budget!!

We hired L&E for a downstairs extension and could not be happier. We have not stopped recommending them since!
We selected them based on their detailed, competitive quote and willingness to work with us on all our ideas, bringing in excellent suggestions of their own and providing a one-stop solution which worked really well.
The work progressed to plan with only a few minor hitches which is to be expected and the team dealt with these quickly and professionally. Our experience with L&E was fantastic from start to finish! From the initial helpful meetings with Gus to the extremely professional building team we employed led by Marek and Adrian. Nothing was a problem even when we changed the architects plans, they were patient and offered plenty of excellent advice, sourcing materials when required and were extremely mindful of our small children. The build result was exactly as we had hoped for. The build team was considerate, respectful, helpful and above all tidy. Areas inside the house and out front (pavement and road) were swept and cleaned daily . The build quality was high and the finish very good. We had a 1930s detached house in Twickenham which needed much love after being rented for 40 years.

After several years we embarked on the work using L&E who provided us with the most comprehensive yet understandable quote of the many that we had in.
The work, which was a ground floor, first floor and loft extension plus complete refurbishment of the rest of the house started on time, finished on budget and 6 weeks early! We even added work to the outside of the house including driveway and patio.

The foreman pushed us for decisions throughout which enabled the job to progress so quickly. He always offered solutions and suggestions when we cam up against difficulties. Our neighbours who were obviously affected by the work even appreciated the speed and quality of their work and kept telling me so.

I totally love the extension L&E did for me. It has changed the way we use our home. I couldn't resist asking for them to do my bathrooms, utility and garden as well.
