About

Hi, my name is Sean Ellis.

My mission as a coach is simple, to support the growth of the independent and small business sector in the UK. To help the 64% of the workforce that wants to start a business to make their dreams a reality. And to help existing independent and small businesses to grow, to thrive, and to be successful.

A big thanks Sean! I have achieved so much over the last 18 months that would not have been possible without you.

Very early on you demonstrated positivity, motivating me to take personal responsibility for my future which resulted in a promotion with 40% pay rise within just a couple of short months. This demonstrated the art of the possible to me and I started to think bigger!

Because you are completely non-judgemental, you create a safe environment where I feel able to share anything and everything, and this means I now have a clear purpose/vision for my life, covering not just career, but family, friends, health and wellbeing.

Having a vision is one thing, but realising that ambition is something else. Because of your skilful use of the art of asking the right questions, I have been able to challenge my limiting beliefs, and make the decisive step to purse entrepreneurship. Being accepted into Cambridge Business school was my first step toward this. With your help, I also secured a scholarship to ease the financial burden of this step. I know that the awareness and clarity I’m gaining now, following your Transition to Success programme, will help me get the most out of my time at Cambridge.

I really value your attention, skill and support and know that it is a great investment having you as my coach.

Thanks again.

Q&As

The feeling I get when one of my clients has a breakthrough or a success, no matter how small or large. There is nothing I find more satisfying than seeing people grow, develop and succeed on their own terms. Being, even in some small way, part of that makes life worth living. That’s why I also offer my services pro-bono in some circumstances.

It’s really simple, I love to make a difference. I saw first hand the difference that coaching could make when I was a team leader and had to coach as a manager. So when I was made redundant, I decided to train professionally as a coach. My experience since then has only reinforced my conviction that coaching can make a real difference in people’s lives.

In my time coaching, I have helped all sorts of people from different backgrounds achieve small and large goals, change behaviours, and make difficult life decisions. Whether it’s finding your life purpose or finding the motivation to get yourself to the gym, learning to say ‘yes’ to life or ‘no’ to unwanted demands on your time, or overcoming any obstacles that you put in the way of yourself, I have helped others and I can help you.

I am a member of the Association of Coaching, and trained according to International Coaching Federation (ICF) standards. I follow the ICF code of ethics (https://coachfederation.org/code-of-ethics) so you can be sure of my professionalism, and my commitment to being the best coach I can be for you.
