Very good! Very reliable, great experience.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing students faces light up when they 'click' with a concept or idea, also the 'wow' factor when students see some of the things we talk about in the sessions for themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I took a micro-teaching course back in 1998. I gave a presentation at the end of the course about the size and scale of the universe. It was so well received that it inspired me to apply to the Adult Education Service to teach short courses on Astronomy, which I've been doing ever since. I enjoy it so much that I now teach privately as well. I also give talks to societies and clubs.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm told that I make the subject clear, fun and rewarding to learn. I also like to help students think about the wider context of our place in this universe as I feel Astronomy can be a very humbling subject. There isn't anyone, I don't think, that doesn't have some interest in Astronomy. I believe that I help to nurture that interest and hopefully make it grow into the passion that it is for me.
