Lean Science is a nutrition and exercise focused company with services in consultancy and 1-2-1 training / coaching. We have some of the highest qualified professionals and experienced individuals within the industry. University graduates to doctoral researchers which can help you reach your goal no matter if it's general health, weight loss, body composition, performance, athletes (recreational to professional) physique or performance.

The min focus is maximal efficiency minimal stress. We do not use rigid strict plans without flexibility, there is a large difference in individual genetic variability as well as individual preference so clients can enjoy the process. We work with the general scientific consensus then refine in an ever evolving process to suit the clients preferences, time availability, genetics, training routine and many other factors. There is no one way, whether a beginner wanting to lose a few lbs or professional athlete, adherence and sustainability while reaching your desired results and looking after health are the biggest factors.

How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

Correct nutritional intake allows our bodies to operate and function optimally or to get results desired in terms of adaptions to exercise. This doesn't mean having to go cold turkey removing any enjoyment from your diet, but to work within certain considerations towards your goal, this could be better general health, performance, adaptations to exercise, cognitive function, energy levels.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

The number one factor is sustainable and consistent progress with a program you can adhere to and continually develop. Thee is no point doing the quickest diet (which may no be healthy) or training program you can't stick to and give up after 3 weeks reverting back to old ways. Sensible consistency, sustainability, adherence then results!

What do you love most about your job?

Working with individuals, watching them develop, watching them progress and giving them the correct information and guidance in an industry that is filled with a lot of misinformation. Putting them on the path to better health and giving them the tools to continue their journey even if they decide to stop working with myself.

What inspired you to start your own business?

It has been my passion since young, if I could run a business that was my interest, could pay for a living and help people it ticked all boxes.

Why should our clients choose you?

All clients receive a program created to them with no client has ever completing the same program. All individuals get a service created for their own individual needs and preferences which evolves over time. As a coach I am hungry to always improve and put clients first. Since I started I have not stopped studying from my level 3 as a personal trainer and now to my level 8 as a doctoral researcher. I've worked with all individuals from general public to professional athletes, trained other trainers and am still striving for improvement.

Couldn't recommend a better coach! Down to earth coach and keeps it real with you! No fad diets! All science and proven nutrition. Neil coached me for my first comp, and wouldn't of been able to do it without him! Kept my nutrition realistic with work etc. Overall all round top guy. Will be using Neil for my next comp prep!

Neil's knowledge of nutrition and how to train is incredible, there really seems to be nothing he doesn't know. Helped me to lose over 2 stone in 4 months with his nutrition plan and workouts that were constantly updated to get results
