What do you love most about your job?
Since starting Lace Sixpence Weddings & Events I have worked with some truly spectacular wedding venues and incredible suppliers and not forgetting my awesome couples who never cease to amaze me with their sense of adventure and love for each other. I continue to be motivated and inspired by the people I meet along the way and I’m constantly looking out for the unique and feel good experiences life has to offer me. This continued personal development has given me a unique perspective on what it really takes to create a truly memorable and unique experience, encapsulated into one amazing wedding day!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had an amazing job working in marketing for the global oil and gas industry. I travelled to many different countries, picked up lots of industry knowledge and life lessons along the way. But something continued to niggle at me. Whilst I knew I was good at what I was doing, my lack of passion left me feeling bored and unfulfilled in my work, which did not sit well with me at all. So after being made redundant for the second time in 2015, I took it upon myself to explore who I was, what I loved and set about creating a life and business doing exactly that. This is when I founded Lace Sixpence Weddings & Events, a business that I absolutely love, planning weddings and special occasions for clients around Scotland.
