My daughter Olivia had failed her maths functional skills 4 times. .We were really beginning to give up hope, when someone put me in touch with La Academia. Andrea was fantastic and acted really quickly in suggesting a tutor she thought would be able to help Olivia. I've been a student at L'academia on and off since 2008 and could not recommend it highly enough. All the teachers are extremely friendly and accommodating. I have had the same teacher now for 2/3 years, Sonia, and she's fantastic! The lessons are always fun, and tailored to my needs. They also have group classes but my own diary made it difficult to attend, but they are also fun, but my 1to1 classes have definitely improved my abilities as a Spanish speaker. I've recently moved away but I'm hoping to organise Skype classes still using them, rather than seeking an alternative.Overall great value for the accessibility, knowledge and flexibility they afford! My daughter has been learning Spanish with Silvi for 8 years. Silvi always makes the lessons fun and my daughter's development has been phenomenal. She recently worked on a GCSE mock exam, several years before she will be taking her GCSEs in school and I was in awe of how well she did. My brother and I started learning Spanish in September with Ingrid, and we have looked forward to every lunes since then, making good progress. Ingrid is a wonderful teacher, with a great sense of humour and passion to help all her students, she makes learning Spanish fun and works hard to come up with new, interesting ways to learn the language. Learning something new is never going to be easier but if you have a passionate and dedicated teacher who actually cares and loves seeing your growth makes everything more enjoyable, it's crazy how much I have learnt in a short space of time, Tannia is very creative in her lessons and it's something new each time, and always goes the extra mile so not just in class time but during the week just checking in on us, who thought learning a new language would actually be fun? Most positive experience, my son George had Jessica as his tutor for English GCSE this year.George has,aspergers and previously had been very let down by our education system.
