I could not recommend Linzi enough!!! We got our first frenchie puppy at 8 weeks old. He was very excitable, loved to chew on our feet and we just didn't know how to train him! ! I have recently requested Linzi for her help to train my 9 months old whippet Puan Puan as she was a bit handful and over excited. Linzi came to visit me two weeks ago and started observing Puan Puan behavior and she started teaching her and myself how to calm her as well as listen to my commands. We did one lesson in door and two out door. Yesterday was the last of three lessons and Puan Puan definitely changed so much in terms of her behavior. She also started to listen to my commands and walk side by side with me. Linzi was brilliant and seeing the way Puan Puan listening to her and extremely obedient around her I was very impressed. Puan Puan is now very confident and calmer around me as well as around others during her walks . Linzi also introduces me some toys and gadgets to keep her amused if she started to get excited again. I’m truly grateful with her teaching and helps and now I feel a lot more confident handling her. What do you love most about your job?
I get to work with dogs! who wouldn't love that!!?? I know first hand the challenges of owning a dog. There is so much conflicting information out there about different training techniques and many unqualified people doing the job.
Ove the past few years I have dedicated all my time into learning everything about dogs, from body language, breed traits history and nutrition. Seeing how happy owners become when they have taught their dog a new trick is such a great feeling. To see a nervous dog transformed or an aggressive dog become calmer is just amazing. And its not just about the dogs its their owners as well. I have seen owners also transformed when they are able to understand their dogs and live together more peacefully.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always wanted to work with dogs and have done so at times in my life. When I got my last dog Sheldon my little Frenchie I was determined to make him the best behaved dog. I started puppy classes as soon as I could, these were basically puppy parties and we didn't learn much. Sheldon learnt really bad habits from these classes which I still have to try and undo. This spurred me onto to learn everything I could about dogs myself.
And here I am. I am constantly looking at articles, books and new courses to keep me up to date in the dog training world. I use only positive training methods and do not abide by any punitive training. I just love seeing dogs and their owners learn together and create that unique bond that dogs and owners have.
