I am self employed, and qualified AAT. My career started in London heading up the accounts for a small insurance brokers that grew from 3 staff to 25 staff in 5 years and i stayed in this job for 13 years. My role was ALL aspects of accounting which included specialised reporting for an insurance company.
Including filing RMARS. I then had children and choose to leave the City and started working Self employed in Chelmsford for a up and coming cosmetic accessory company, again fulfilling all roles of accounting, inc some logistic work and forecasting etc. This job grew very fast and required a full time Financial Director, and I didn't want to be office based full time, so I helped the Vintage Cosmetic Company find a more suited candidate after 4 years working there, which started with 3 of us, and myself being the only accounts staff, doing every aspect of the job, doing 15 hours a week, but 4 years later I was still running the role on my own but the rest of the company had grown to 10 staff and my hours were easily 40 per week.
I now take on bookkeeping roles for small/medium businesses covering any or all aspects of bookkeeping and also some admin work if needed.
I can offer you a great service with a friendly face and do the job efficiently and accurately .
I would prefer to be able to work from home, but appreciate this isn't always possible and would consider doing some work office based and some home based, depending on how far away the job is. Nowadays working remotely is much easier with cloud base systems and scanning documents, also this allows work to be carried out any time of the day that suits all parties and can fit in better with family commitments and seasonal changes.
