Picked up jethro and found to be in showroom condition. Fantastic week away with with my wife and son. Perfect for narrow roads and great fun to sleep in. Definite yearly getaway for us in the future. Campervanning at it's finest without the ridiculous cost of most camper hire companies. Nolan and Jodie's local knowledge was so helpful. Having received the gutting news of a misfuel last year, Nolan refunded our payment which had been paid in full and offered free hire for the same duration. We rebooked for the same time this year and had a wonderful couple of days. Nolan went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good trip, offering to find and book us a last minute campsite for that evening, having been caught up in road closures on the M5 - a great start to our holiday! This was our first experience going on holiday in a camper van and also the first time we had visited Cornwall.We arranged to meet the guys from Kernow Kampers at the airport in Newquay - I don't know how he does it but Nolan is freakishly punctual! He gave us a tour of Lowena (our home for a week) and sent us on our way.The following comments are for those new to life in a camper van:It's not a car - it's much bigger and you really need to use your mirrors as you turn sharp corners. It's very easy to drive otherwise but a little help while reversing is always appreciated.There are lots of things in a Camper Van that will be new to you - I strongly recommed you make a cup of tea, get over the fact that your are an adult male and READ THE MANUAL - nobody will think worse of you for this. At the first overnight stop we were pulling into our allocated space and our neighbour for the night came over to welcome us and help us set up the van correctly (Electricity, Water, Wheel wedges etc...) and that's when it struck me...there is a really active and genuinely helpful community that simply loves this way of life and they are more than happy to share their experiences and offer practical help to newbies like ourselves.We had a list of places we planned to see and I thought buying an old fashioned road map of Cornwall was the best investment I made during the week - it allowed me to plan trips on the biggest roads we could and minimise our time on narrow single vehicle roads (of which we encountered many). Sat Nav is great but it doesn't care that you are driving something much bigger than your own car.It's important to plan where you stay each evening - we liked sites that were close to towns or villages. We had thought about wild camping but there is great comfort in being on a managed site with all of its facilities close at hand.All told, a great experience that we will re-visit...but we'll be a little wiser next time!This is supposed to be a review of Kernow Kampers...really, really nice people to deal with, Lowena was perfect for us, I can't recommend them highly enough.Brendan from Dublin, Ireland More...

No problem with staying warm on cold nights, and the built in toilet and shower were really useful when you didn’t want to use the campsite ones. An incredible way to see Cornwall! I hired one of the minidubs out (Denzil) for a week travelling round and seeing the sites. The vehicles are fun to drive and from the initial booking to dropping the van back, the Kernow Kampers team did everything they could to make my hire as enjoyable as possible, even providing the best routes to tour.
