Wow! The most amazing photography experience. I have never been taught so much about what I can do to take a picture I actually like. He worked with me with so much patience and knowledge. Ben was great. I'm not only extremely happy with the headshots he took, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience with him. I was concerned about my headshot because I don't always photograph well and as a sole proprietor really wanted the photo to characterize me by not being very formal, staged, or fake. I needed headshots and I'd never done a photo shoot before. My first ever experience was great, and I attribute this solely to Bens professionalism and candor. Yes, it's OK to call him Ben. His office was easy enough to find, and the building screams "staving artist", but in all the right ways. His studio was clean and tidy. He even had a fridge stocked with water and juice and little area with a couch to chill out and take a break if need be. There is also a changing room if you need it. Even though I didn't know what to do, Ben did. He was easygoing and disarming, starting the appointment with inviting my feedback on what my expectations were. He was very open to whatever concept best fit my desired results. Since I had no idea what I was doing, he gently stepped in at times and offered expert suggestions and opinions which helped guide my own creative process rather than push me in any direction. Although, when I needed a push, he was tactful and humorous. Ben was a consummate professional yet laid back enough so I felt comfortable to be myself. I'm very happy with the shots he took, making it difficult to pick the 3 shots to keep. Once I did, he had the final shots edited and ready for download the next morning. I'd give KBR 10 stars if given the option. We had a few shots of our kids done with him and he did an amazing job interacting and making the session not only fun, but interactive and a learning experience of how a true artist tends to his creaft. He is kind, genuine, and will give you honest answers as opposed to just saying the words you want to here. I recommend him to anyone wanting professional images taken and at the same time having fun working together.

Ben is awesome! We needed professional headshots and had no idea how to even begin to approach it, and Ben provided a lot of direction. We also arrived 30 minutes early to our appointment, but Ben greeted us and took us in early anyway and spent about an hour to get three good images. He was very reassuring and laid back, stating that we can take photos all day just to get the right one if we needed, but he also said he completely understands if you feel burned out from taking so many photos.FYI our headshots were in preparation for medical residency applications. Summary: Ben is excellent.  Book him already.  Stop your analysis paralysis. (I was you a few weeks ago).Goal: We needed new headshots for a few places and a new couple photo for some of our relatives.  Results:  I just posted a new headshot online.  About 3 minutes later.Friend: "WTH? Kenneth recently did some headshots of me for my firm’s website and, simply put, they are amazing. I contacted Ben for a couple professional head shots, and he was awesome. From the very beginning Ben was very responsive and professional. I hate getting my picture taken, but he actually made the process fun. He took the time to understand what I would be using the pictures for, offered suggestions, and really worked to make sure the lighting was perfect. I needed a professional portrait to match those of my remote colleagues. Not only did Kenneth match the overall look of my colleagues' portraits, he made mine look even better!

The whole process of coaching, talking me through very looks and poses, lighting, wardrobe, and everything, was disarming and fun. There's times you just need it, like, yesterday. A headshot. Now. Where do I go?Luckily I found Ben. "Sure, come on in", he said. "By the way, here's an article to help you pick the best suit to wear to convey the message you want". The process couldn't have been easier. He had a great stylist (Kris) there, and she got me all fixed up to look my best. We discussed what image I wanted to portray (honest, approachable, confident). They did a couple of test shots, adjusted hair and makeup a bit, and we were off and running. Ben coached me on how to get the most natural look and smile (worth the cost of the session right there, for all times I ever get a picture taken in the future).Ben got me the proofs online right away, made my selection (so many good ones to choose from), and I had the final digital pictures in an email an hour later. The only slight issue I had with the whole process was the proofs had watermarks were distracting. (I'm guessing if I'd asked him to, he would have sent me a batch without).WHY GET A HEADSHOT: Just looking at what I got vs. the average LinkedIn selfie, wow, what a difference. What image do you want to convey? "I'm an amateur, I take short cuts", or "I'm a true professional that does it right".  Do yourself a favor, and have Ben get you a truly professional image.We're planning to do some family pictures as well. I searched around for a decent place to get some headshots taken and luckily found Ben. I got way more than decent. Ben promptly replied to my vague email about getting some photos done and as soon as I met him at his funky studio he made me feel really comfortable and asked a lot of questions about what I wanted. Had a great experience having my headshots taken with KBR. I was pretty nervous going in as I have never felt comfortable in front of the camera. Ben shot my son's senior picture--a series of formal headshots--and then used the rest of the time for some creativity. Wow. The headshots were fine, perfect for the yearbook. But if you use KBR, just let him roll with the creativity. The scenes, lighting, use of props, were outstanding. Most of my teenager's creative shots were pretty edgy but really fun. Since he wants to be in theater, they will be perfect--and different--for his portfolio. The price is very competitive as well. I would highly recommend KBR for any type of photography. More...

I went to KBR's studio on Friday for my first ever sit down for pictures. I was pretty nervous about the experience, but he had a knack for easing down my anxiety level and engaging in conversation that made the process very, very easy. The price I paid was about a 1/3 of what I had seen offered by others around town and he sent me several images to use within 24 hours of our first meeting.
