What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Good light! Photography uses light as its medium, and to take a great photograph, artists need to understand directions of light, how light works, and how to best use the light to capture the image.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I always ask clients their color preferences, especially when setting up for a newborn session. I also ask clients pre-session to tell me a little bit about themselves and their families through a questionnaire that they'll fill out and email back. I have them tell me some things that they like to do together, what the kids are into these days, etc.
What do you love most about your job?
I love getting to meet new people, and capture them enjoying their families. Babies don't keep, and it's my passion to freeze time through my photographs, so that these memories can be cherished for year and years to come.

I am extremely passionate about what I do, and I take my job of capturing these memories very seriously. Having three children of my own, I know how special and fleeting these times are, so I make it my mission to provide my clients with thoughtful, personalized sessions and beautiful artwork that they can enjoy.
