About

I provide distinct channels of service, which you can peruse on my site or discuss with me directly.

1) Marketing and Branding
I grow businesses. I have owned my own marketing agency, worked for other national and top-dollar agencies, performed marketing on a consultative basis for brands, and continue to do so.

Q&As

I am passionate about the dialogue. If we don't connect human to human, we are wasting our skills, our art, our passion, our potential, and our resources. Marketing has a reputation of being salesy, spammy, and inarticulate but as someone trained in empath marketing and excited about the to-and-fro of a consumer-brand dialogue, I respectfully disagree. I see marketing done wrong all of the time and I want to make it right by adding honesty, value, and intent. Beyond marketing, I am a lover of words and passionate about language. Words have the power to move people, to impact emotions, to inspire ideas, and to cultivate relationships. In fact, none of this happens without words. They're so undervalued and I want to reinstate communicative panache for people. That's how the improv thing got started, that's how I got involved with speaking engagements, and that's why I write every day.

Someone once told me that you either bite the bullet and pursue your own passion or you will end up nose-to-the-grindstone making someone else's dreams come true and I guess that stuck with me.

I'm still open to being hired fulltime for the right company but I started doing my own thing because I couldn't get excited about working anonymously for a massive corporation or being batted around by a startup with no stability. I was never encouraged to do things my own way.

I'm also a big advocate for remote work and have written articles on the global impact of this massive shift in working culture. I'd love to discuss this in more detail if you're curious.

They should only choose me if I'm the right fit for them. I don't believe I'm the best marketer, writer, or speaker for every client or company. I believe we are all out here trying to find fit. If I don't fit for a potential client, I don't immediately intuit a problem with my services or with their expectations. I am too creative for some companies, too expensive for others, or too *insert here* for another set. For the right company, I'm the just-right fit and vice versa.

Why should THOSE clients choose me?
I believe they will know it when they see it. I'm a great fit for companies looking for what I do. If you're looking for someone like me, it will be obvious when we meet. If you're not, that will be obvious too and that's okay.

Services

I provide many types of digital marketing services from strategy and campaign planning to production and execution of individual channel programs and campaigns.

Through a proprietary and proven multi-meeting workshop-style experience, I can help your business brand (or re-brand) for your future. Benefits of this program include tighter consumer targeting, smarter market analysis, more articulate and succinct story-telling and voiced authorship, social growth, and - in summation - lead gen and retention for your business.

For Businesses: I write and edit copy from articles and blogs, website copy, and email blasts to ad copy, sales collateral, social campaign copy. I write technical copy such as e-books, whitepapers, and internal communications. If it requires text, I can help perfect it.

For Publications: I write journalistically including event reporting, deep-dive personal essays, and subject interviews.

For Writers & Creatives: I'm a published poet and author. I edit novels for writers, provide feedback coaching and guidance, and write stories and poetry on a commissioned basis.

I host and hold three distinct improv workshops: Team Building, Creative, and Confidence.
Team-building is perfect for athletic teams, corporate teams, collaborative organizations/clubs, and performance troupes.
Creative is ideal for writers groups, artist collectives, and creative agency teams.
Confidence is a good choice for college campuses, therapy and support groups, sales teams, and entrepreneurs.
