We booked Kate for a family photo shoot. She was amazing, put everyone at ease, was relaxed (despite rampant pet dog, wandering toddlers and camera shy teenagers) and took some beautiful family photos to mark a special birthday in a place we have been holidaying as a family for many years. Well I’m totally re inspired in photography ... I spent the day with Kate walking from Bedruthan Steps along the coast path. We were so lucky with the sun and the wind creating shimmering sea and white horses. Kate’s enthusiasm and knowledge reminded me how to take a good photo.. and I’m pleased with the results. We’d been following Kate’s adventures via her photos and stories on Instagram and loved what we saw, so we made contact with her to see if she would photograph our wedding in Devon. Kate kindly obliged and was fantastic in the build up to the big day, carrying out research on the venue beforehand and speaking over the phone several times to gauge our requirements. Kate and her husband Andrew arrived at the venue in plenty of time to scope it out for the best shots and the results were fantastic! They managed to capture all aspects of the day from the beautiful scenery, to the standard family pictures and natural relaxed photos of all the guests. Had a fabulous morning on a long dog walk with Kate taking photos of our two hounds and us! We had none of the whole pack, getting two naughty dogs and two adults to all look at the camera is no mean feat! We've just seen the photos and are so impressed. Kate has captured each of us and our personalities perfectly. Pugs our oldest dog is very nervous but with patience Kate gained his trust and got some cracking shots of him looking straight at her. The whole experience was fun and a great way to spend a morning having a fab beach walk with our dogs with Kate snapping away, the results are so natural and just make me smile! More...

I went out with Kate on Tuesday and had a fantastic walk. She was very kind and moved our scheduled walk from Monday to Tuesday because of the weather, despite the fact we did start the walk on Monday. The drizzle was setting in and the fabulous scenery was disappearing into a grey mist. Kate wanted to be sure I got the most from my walk. As Kate is a Cornish girl through and through, she knows the area like the back of her hand. The walk alone would have been thoroughly enjoyable, but with her passion and knowledge of photography thrown in, I learnt a huge amount about landscape photography and how to make the most of my camera in the prevailing conditions. But you don’t need bagfuls of expensive kit to enjoy the experience. Kate will take you to the best spot to compose the shot and get great results. Book in with Kate, grab your camera phone, or whatever you have, and go and enjoy! I’ll definitely be booking in with Kate again next time we’re in Cornwall. More...
